Chapter 34: 34. Fight
"So where do you want to start? We going to spar if you remember I have a pretty decent right hook."
"I remember little wolf I still owe you for that. We can spar if you like you are kind of slow. But I was thinking more of training your mind maybe your angelic abilities."
"I maybe slow to someone who has wings. You do have a bit of an advantage but I am curious to if I could actually take you in a fight no holding back besides we can heal each other right?"
He lifted his eyebrow when he looked at me a smirk on his lips then he disappeared.
"Solaris I take it he accepted your challenge concentrate you can sense him he's going to work both your body and mind."
Aurora cautioned me she was right I was no match for his speed but I could defend myself just fine. Besides I should be able to calculate his every move with our mind link right. Even though I wasn't really good at it he seemed to have the advantage there as well maybe I didn't think this through. Next thing I knew I was hit hard in the chest and went tumbling across the ground. So he is going to play dirty.
"Come on little wolf concentrate."
His voice traveled in front of me then behind. I tried to listen see if I could hear him but it was silent just the wind in the trees. The wind that's it! Listen to the difference in the wind. I heard a light whistle but I was to late to react and my feet was swept from under me and I landed right on my ass. Azrael's laughter circled around me growing aggravated I jump to my feet I may love the sound of his laugh but this is war. So I do like he said and concentrate on the mind link to see if I can get a glimpse inside his head. Like before I feel for his energy I'm so used to his aura I don't know why I didn't start there. Like last time no words just pictures appears in my mind's eye a black mist if you will I can see it rushing around me side to side front to back then straight at me. I jump to the right and he just missed me.
"Not bad little wolf now let's see how you fare in hand to hand."
In a split second he was in front of me with a hit to my stomach and I stumbled back. Before I fully recovered he swings for my cheek and I just barely dodged it. His next swing I block with my forearm and knee him in his ribs Grab his arm and twist then a swift kick to the knee he hits the ground. Giving me the opportunity to deliver a few face punches. I could smell the sweet scent of his blood it stopped me mid punch he took the opportunity to gain control once again.
"Scared to hurt me little wolf thought we agreed no holding back."
He managed to pin my arms behind my back his lips graze across my mark sending hot shivers down my spine. He was totally playing dirty anger and desire fell me his touch the smell of his blood i feel my fangs protruding. Aurora trying to break through I push her back this is my fight. I do the only thing I can whip my head back and head but him. He groans let's go of my arms and holds his nose.
"I'm sorry baby did I hurt you remember you said no holding back."
I may of said that a little bit to cocky. He's face changed his eyes now black a ping of fear fills me everything in my body telling me to run. And I do just that but he's so much faster then me and I'm over taken. Back handing me he strikes my face sending me flying into a tree. A loud cracking noise fills my ear and I'm not sure if it's the tree or my bones as pain shoots threw me. He's on me in seconds hands around my throat eyes purr black no white at all. Fangs extending snarls erupting from him. I try to say his name beg him to stop but nothing comes out my voice lost in his grip around my throat. So I do the only thing I can do I concentrate on the heat in my hands let the fire building hoping it doesn't kill him I let go. A ball of light is let loose sending ripples of our heat, fire, atomic energy, what ever you want to call it. He screams in pain thrown feet away from me he laying on the ground unmoving. I fell to trying to catch my breath the only thing I can think of after everything that just happened was if he's okay. I crawl my way over to him horrified by what I see half his face it burned and his arms.
"Azrael wake up I'm so sorry please wake up you can't leave me I didn't mean it please!"
I screamed for Alistair it felt like hours I knew it was only second before he was beside us yelling.
"What the hell happened Luna did someone attack you where did they go?"
"No Alistair it was me I did this. Please get him inside now."
He just stared at me in disbelief but picked up Azrael half dragging him to the cabin. While Ezra helped me to walk I definitely had a broken rib and a gash on the back of my head I could feel the blood running down my neck. They had placed him on the bed and me next to him. I was sobbing what have I done I knew better what was I thinking risking his life this way. He an immortal right he can't die . He looks so bad his beautiful face burned I did this I had to fix it so I did the only thing I could do. I bit my wrist and placed it over his mouth unlike the last time he didn't react so I let more pour in to his mouth. The world darkened around the edges of my vision I could barely hear Alistair and Ezra telling me that enough before I fainted on his chest.
