"Excuse," I pushed through the men, women, and children of the clan, who were chattering and gasping over whatever they saw in the throne room. The lobby was long, no doubt but it was narrow for so many of them. 

I had to squeeze my way through everyone while trying to keep track of Hailey's stepmother, Stacy, who ran up ahead.
