Gloria and Jonathan both looked to the door.
"Come on in," beckoned Jonathan.
A waiter opened the door and came in with bottles of red wine.
Jonathan smiled and said, "I ordered them especially for you. They taste good, but you didn't even take a sip. Are you afraid that I might drug you?"
Gloria withdrew her gaze and replied calmly, "I was just afraid that drinking might be a distraction for our business talk."
Jonathan looked intrigued. "Even wine?"
A figure seized his attention at the moment.
Gloria, who had her back turned to the door, clearly sensed that something was off too.
Her body stiffened uncontrollably but, as if she had noticed nothing, she raised her hand and picked up the goblet.
The back of the chair was unable to cover her figure.
Jordy obviously recognized her.
A burst of footsteps sounded behind her.
Gloria's heart thumped in her chest.
