Chapter 48: You Messed With The Wrong Alpha

'Have the elders pass the judgment.' Safira's voice echoed in his mind.

'But they hate you,' he reminded her.

'That makes it fair, no?' She mused.

She knew exactly what she was asking for. The elders were the best option they had. If it was the Supreme Alpha, Safira knew she would not live to see the next full moon. Though the elders disliked her, at the very least, they would be fair. If anything else, Damien would be there to keep them in check too.

"I propose, we have the elders of my pack pass the judgment. They have always been fair, never taking sides. Would that suffice, Supreme Alpha?" Damien asked.

Carmen and Markus looked to the Supreme Alpha for a definitive answer. Both of them expected him to insist on an alternative. To their surprise, he didn't.

"Very well, I trust the council of elders would make a sound decision on the matter."
