Chapter 67: Trouble In Paradise

Over the next week, Safira recovered well. The silver veins all across her body remained and with it, came another problem. Things happened so quickly it caught her completely off guard.

It first occurred when Safira returned to training the she-wolves. The session started off well but towards the end, Safira felt a shot of pain surging through her body. At first, she was still able to stand on her feet.

But when another pulse of pain occurred, it was worse than before. She crumbled to the ground, gripping her chest in agony. Her vision began to spin as Diana gasped in shock.

"Safira! Are you-"

"Don't come any nearer!" Safira yelled before howling in pain.

Nymeria was suffering as much as she did. The silver veins all over her body were glowing too.

"Healers! Get the healers!" Diana ordered Archer who ran off to find them at once.
