Chapter 16: Slaughter event 9.
"1000 bucket " a shouting voice came from one of the guard as the other walked to unchain her hands and Fred rushed to her not able to control himself any longer , he grabbed her fallen body , picked her up and carried her on a bridal style leaving all the other guards on awe state .
" Please Sir can I do this ?" he asked standing before the guard he came with and the guard nodded then lead the way to the cell she was supposed to be put until the night is over .
" You pity her , don't you ?" the guard asked him again as soon as they walked inside her cell and Fred placed her on the floor again regretting the words he said earlier that they deserve for what they did .
Fred went silent not replying the question when the guard sighed and walked closer , " Am Gift , if you need help you can ask me " .
Fred was surprised by the words that came from Gift's mouth but as he was finished he walked away . Fred gasped as tears rolled down his cheeks on looking at Elvi , her eyes being closed , her face paled and her body covered on bruises all over .
" Elvi " he called but nothing came , he cried out his heart on seeing her like that but then an idea came to him as hebwalked down the cells grabbed some warm water and went back to the cell and started to clean her body .
After he was done he walked again and went to find Gift . He used sometime in finding him but at last he found him in his office .
" You said if I need any help to ask you out " Fred spoke calmly , " I knew you would come , you like the girl and I know you want her to live but she has a death to face tomorrow "
" If you help me and she lives , she won't die " Fred spoke more confident of himself and Gift narrowed his eyes , " The security is so tight in here escaping isn't your plan right ?" Gift asked and Fred nodded .
" Well then let's go and help her cause am curious of what you'll do to save get tomorrow ".
They walked down back to the cell and Gift gave the other guards the permission to go and rest, he and Fred shall guard her .
After the guards walked out , Gift wentbout and collected some woods and came with some more blankets and some medicines .
Fred made up the fore and brought Elvi closer to fire to give her warmth as he covered her with blankets , time went by as the men's did everything they could to make her feeling warm and better .
They provided her with the medicines that maybhelp her to stabilize before gaining some more energy .
In the middle of the night Elvi's eyes opened to see two men's face and one of which she was so familiar with . " She's awake" Gift tapped Fred's shoulder who was now sleeping holding Elvi .
Fred's eyes shot open and smile plastered his face on seeing her , " Elvi " he called but she was numb and also a living dead by the time .
Gift took more of the medicine and gave Fred who made her drink all of them although she choked some of them , not wanting to taste their bitter taste .
Tears rolled down her eyes from time to time and Fred got worried suddenly , " Don't cry Elvi , I promise I will get you out of here and you'll be safe " .
" Mo-th-er " she spoke in a low voice that was not heard at all .Fred bent down to her ears as he saw her lips moving like saying something .
" Mother " came a slow sound but since he was on his ear and his heart dropped on the thought of what was going to happen to her tomorrow because he was sure to get Elvi out of there .
" She's okay " he said to her putting a sad smile oh his face , she nodded and he smiled again .
" How are you feeling ?" he asked and Elvi looked at him and then to Gift who also smiled at her , " Get well kid , this guy here on me your safety and life tomorrow " .
Fred looked at Gift then Elvi who had a confused expression , " Please give us sometime " Fred asked and Gift walked out leaving the two of then he looked at her with a smile .
" Marla is okay but she's so worried about you " he started a conversation when a tear dropped from her eyes , " Don't cry , I promise to get you out of here but there is something your mother gave me " he spoke taking out a piece of paper from his pockets .
" Here let me read it for you " he spoke but Elvi raised her hand and he handed it to her as he made her sit on her own but offered His hand to lean on for support .

Dear Elvi
This will be shocking and heart breaking but I know you are so strong my dear , am proud to have you in my life and you're such a blessing to me .
Elvida is the name I found on your back on the waist , it was well drawn and looked so beautiful , I remember seen that when I was giving you a bath on the day I found you in the forest .
You're not my daughter yo start with but it was such a good start when you became one my dear and how proud I am for you being my daughter , your beautiful silver eyes gave me assurance that you're special and I never hesitated to take you in .
Am sorry for the poor life you had to live , you deserve better sweetheart , am also so sorry for being a bad mother sometimes scolding you and give you some beats but it was for the better .
When you read this letter , I don't know when but in whatever situation it maybe know that I love you and you come first to me .
One daybyoi shall fine your mate , I believe moongodess would gift you with a wonderful one , I can't wait to see you happy with him and don't reject him dear no matter the standard honey .

A tear Rolled down her eyes as her body trembled before lookingvto the door way , " Mother " she mumbled before wanting to get up but Fred stopped her .
" She wants you gone from here Elvi " .
Chapter 17: Slaughter event 10.
Elvi looked at Fred not believing what he was saying right now , " I can't leave her here Fred " . Fred's eyes closed , it was not like he never knew that this will be happening , neither of them wants to leave the other in that horrible pack .
" I know and for that I promise you , I will also get her out of here " he said looking straight at her face when she blinked like whatever he was saying didn't make any sense to her and yes it didn't .
" Give yourself some time and think , she's done so much to ensure your safety , that's what I believe and now she's doing it for you once again , grab it don't hurt her feelings " he reasoned when tear strikes down her cheek .
It was true , for the past two years her mother has been doing each and everything for her safety but here she was being so adamant about leaving her , but how could she , she is her mother , she has never done anything for her and less it now to leave her alone in this damned pack , that's impossible .
" Leave me alone , I need , some space " with that Fred walked outside leaving her alone . As he walked along the hall a voice pulled him out of his thoughts , " So do you know her ?" Gift asks.
" Why did you help me ?" Fred returned the question curiosity bubbles inside his chest , " Mine started " Gift spoke indicating he was first one to go with asking act . Fred sighed as he walked toward him , " Well I have known her from her childhood but separated when my father decided to join the red moon pack " .
" He isn't crazy , is he ?" Gift asked since nobody in her or his intact senses would go and join the red moon pack willingly. " That's another story , Gift .... I loved her back then and maybe I am but that comes later for now , I really need to get her out of here ..... but comes to you now , why ?" Fred ended his story by throwing him a question .
" Because she doesn't deserve to be here " Gift's voice trailed at the end as he spoke making Fred to scoff hard , " Does anyone deserve to be here ?" ... . , " Your father I guess , since he joined willingly " A smirk worked it's way on Gift's mouth .
" Damn it don't speak about him " Fred gritted his teeth a he spoke , " The girl is strong , she survived hell I can say and I believe She'll survive out there if she lives tomorrow , that's why am helping .....she fought and held up so hard up to this point , she deserves to be out of here.... and now tell me can you take her out of here ?" .
A nod was all Fred could give , there was no assurance for that but trying won't hurt although worries worked their way on his face since if the plan fails , nobody survive , neither her nor he .
" She needs strength " Fred spoke , " I know , here is something that shall help her energy because I doubt her wolf survived " Gift said .
" I shall manipulate the patrols and I hope you can do the rest , just tell me when are you executing your plan " He added as his legs walked past him as his eyes gazed here and there for safety .
" Tomorrow , I will run with her on my back " Fred spoke an that's when he was suddenly pushed to the wall , his throat gripped so hard for his breath to become so difficult . " What's.... " Fred's word were cut short when his hold tightened around his throat .
" Are you crazy , running with her on your back ?" Gift seemed pissed off by the plan because that would be a suicidal mission to attend to . " Le-t .." Fred's voice trailed down as Gift let down his hold and Fred fell down .
" You'll be killed by the very next time you shift , not even when she climbs on you and I want her safe " Gift spoke looking at him so intently .
" I know but that's the only way unless you got another plan " Fred spoke standing from the ground and straightened his pants down , Gift sighed because he was right there is no other way that assuming you're so crazy and ran off toward the patrol boundaries yet that also seemed so impossible because the security was so tight .
" She just needs strength to run from the stage , that's it , the rest is on me " Fred assured Gift who only gave him another nod to tell him he can do whatever but the plan seems to be so dangerous and unsuccessful up to there .
Back inside Elvi read the paper again and again tears rolling down her cheeks as thoughts flooded her mind , how could she leave her mother alone behind in this dangerous pack .
Even when she claims that she's not her biological mother , that sounded so unbelievable ' Maybe she said so to make me leave ' her mind resorted but still her innerself denied the fact because , if there was one thing her mother would only do us to be with her but today she was pleading for her to leave her behind .
' No , I won't go ' her mind resorted against her and her inner self agreed , how could she walk out of here keavingbher behind , will she be able to live peaceful knowing that her mother was here dying slowly because the red moon pack spoke of death itself , how would she survive this .
As she was sobbing down her ears pricked an heard something that she didn't know about , " Tomorrow morning would be the slaughter event , and they shall be the introduction " .
Her mother was forcing her to leave not because of anything but she wanted to save her life , tomorrow would be the slaughter event and they are the introduction. "Mom " she mumbled as tears fell down again a and again , there was nothing she could do to save her mother , the chance was there , Fred , but only one of them gets to get out of here alive , and her mother chose her , that's every mother instinct to save her daughter like how Marla always does to her , but something else beat her mind .
How can she leave her mother behind for death.
