I woke up feeling so drained of my energy. I pulled myself out of my bed and got dressed very slowly. It seemed like the more I moved, the more tired I became. I sat back on my bed and thought back to last night when Dez told me the truth about being my blood mate. I felt butterflies in my stomach thinking about it. I also remember my father catching us almost kissing, dam, he had to show up right then. If only he would have waited 5 more minutes. Hmmm, I wonder what gifts father has, I think he did something to make me come to my chamber. I will definitely ask him when I see him again, I'm tired of the secrets and lies. I slowly lift myself off my bed and drag myself to the kitchen to retrieve Sorsha and my breakfast. Damn i'm so tired, I feel like going back to my bed and sleep for days. Let me get to Sorsha so I can get this day over with. As I gulped down my breakfast, I started to feel a little better. Then I thought, maybe I could use another cup, and began to drink another cup. Now I felt a little more like myself, I grab the tray for Sorsha and began to make my way to her chamber. On my way to her chamber, I ran into Aubree, she was standing there talking to Malik. I like Malik, he's a little rude, but he is always honest with anyone. As I attempt to walk by, Aubree turns to me with a big smile on her face, " I hope I will be seeing you this morning Alora, I do not tolerate being tardy, you better hurry". I stopped walking and turned to her, " I will get there when I get there Aubree, just mind your own business for once and leave me alone", as I rolled my eyes. As I said that, Malik let out a laugh, " I see you get under everyone's skin witch", and walk away. She looks at me with amusement in her eyes, " I see you're just like your mother in the morning, this is going to be fun". I just looked her up and down and walked away, i'm too tired to deal with this bitch, I cant believe that she's my aunt. When I made it to Sorsha chamber, I seen Cassandra walking down the corridor talking to my mother. As they walked passed me, Cassandra cut her eyes to me and turned up her nose. I thought, yea bitch mess with me now, my grandfather will get in your ass. My mother looked my way and nodded her head as she smiles. When I reached Sorsha chamber, I prepared myself to wake her but as I opened the door she was already sitting on her bed and dressed. I was so shocked, I almost dropped the tray. I caught the tray and composed myself while she giggled at my reaction. "I'm surprised to see you up Sorsha, I usually have to literally drag you out of bed". I walked over to the bed and handed her the tray and began to open the curtains and straighten up her chamber. " Come on Sorsha, I think I wanna go to class with you, I don't feel like being bothered with anyone else today". Sorsha stands up as she start to drink her blood. " What's wrong Alora, you look kinda off today?" I had to tell her, I couldn't hold in the fact that Dez is my bloodmate and almost kissed me. I mean she is my best friend and i'm keeping a lot of secrets from her. I looked at her and told her we should have a seat on her bed, we have a lot to catch up on. I told her everything that happened the night before and she was excited at first, until I told her about my father. "Alora, this is great, you found your blood mate. OMG!!!, he almost kissed you!!!, as she squealed. You should be excited Alora, we have talked about finding our blood mate since we could remember." I chuckled, "You have been talking about finding our blood mate, I could have cared less". Come on Sorsha, we are late already, we don't want our mothers to come looking for us, especially yours". As She stands up,she huffed, " I swear Alora, you know how to change the subject when you don't want to talk about it". I smiled as I stood up, " We have all day to talk about it and knowing you, that's all we will talk about today. Come let's get to class, I don't want to be any later than we already are".
Aubree POV
After the run in with Alora, I went to talk to Tristan. While walking I ran into Marcel. " Excuse me Aubree I need you to do me a favor, it is very important". I tried not to laugh, why would I help her? I don't have time for febel tasks while i'm here. "What is it that you need Marcel, I am very busy". Marcel looked at me like she wanted to tell me something but nothing came out. "I can't tell you because of my oath to Lady Cassandra and Lord Cletus, but there is some weird stuff going on here over the last couple of days. I know of your gifts and who you are to Lynia, and that you protect your family. I need you to read me and look to see what's going on, maybe you could put the pieces together and figure out what's happening around here". I couldn't resist reading someone if they offered, i'm sure she knows a lot what's going on and cant tell me. I walked up to her as my eyes started glowing and my hair turned white then I touched her shoulder. I went through every single memory she had, I needed to know who she really was and how she knows so much about me. When I was done going through her memories, I stepped back and my eyes and hair returned to normal. "I see why you know so much about me and my gifts. Thank you for looking after Lynia and Alora all this time. Tell no one of this, I will snoop around and find out more", then I walked away. There is a lot of bullshit going on around here and Cassandra is in the middle of all of it. I swear if she had anything to do with that bastard trying to force himself on my niece, I will wipe her mind myself and make her a slave! That fucking bitch wants to play with my family I will show her what happens if someone fucks with them! I need to talk to Tristan about this, but since he's personally involved his mind might be clouded. I think the smart mouth vamp will help with this, now I have a reason to get to know him much better. Now I need to find my dear niece and get her trained, there are too many people after her.
I was sitting in class with Sorsha, mostly getting in trouble for talking or giggling when Aubree walked in. She look over to Sorsha and I, then walked in and sat next to me. " Since you don't want to come train with me today, I figured I would attend class with you", she whispered. I instantly rolled my eyes, stood up and excused myself, then walked out of class. As I was walking down the corridor, I heard Aubree's shoes clicking on the floor behind me. I was so pissed, I'm tired of everyone trying to tell me what to do, geesh I just needed a normal day with my best friend. I turned around very quickly, " What the hell do you want Aubree? We could've started training tomorrow, what's one day? Aubree mouth started to form into a smirk, " If you would have asked for one more day, maybe I would've given it to you, but you decided to act like a brat. So now, let's get to your training, we have a lot to cover today". As we walk into the library, Aubree handed me a stack of old dusty books. "Since you wanted to disobey me dear niece, I need you to read these books, believe me I will test you on them", then she walked out. I huffed as I sat back in the chair, dam, why am I stuck reading these dam books. I picked up the first book that was on the pile, it explained about all the supernaturals in the realm. I found some interesting information that you don't hear from taking classes or my parents. All supernaturals speak a language that only that supernatural will understand. Witches speak Latin, Dragons speak Portuguese, Vampires speak German, and Fairies speak French. Only "Cum Regina"( The Queen in Latin) will understand all languages. I wonder am I The Queen, I'm going to have to test this theory. I'll ask Marcel to speak her language and see if I could understand. As I looked through the book, I found a few test I need to do, if I pass them, I am The Queen. I just can't believe that i'm The Queen just because of my birthmark. The next book I read was a book on gifts, it was very interesting. I quickly look under the legendary dragons, I needed to see what kind Dez and my father was. The White Dragon, out all the legendaries the White Dragon is the most powerful, if it possess the gift of electricity. It would be able to teleport, use the energy to produce lightning and it will be able to drain the energy of any other supernatural. That's what father did to me, he teleported me and drained my energy so I wouldn't come back to the garden. I wonder if King Titus is a legendary too. I skimmed through the other dragons and in a section by itself under Black Dragons. Black Dragons are very rare because of their gifts. Black Dragons, also known as Shadow Dragons can manipulate and control the shadows. As I continued to read I heard someone clear their throat, I looked up and seen Aubree standing there tapping her foot. "I need you to read the book on gifts and how to use them, then you can come back to these books. Go take a break, come back and study how to use a witch's and dragons gifts". "Oh and Alora, if you run into Dez, please do come back, you seem to get distracted by him". When she walked away, I was going to take a break, but I wanted to learn more about Black Dragons and their gifts. I will have time, let me take a walk and get some fresh air. I need to think about everything I've just read. When I reached the bench in the garden, I sat down and started thinking. As I sat there thinking, I felt a strange sensation throughout my whole body. I felt a strong force suck me into my body and I seen darkness. I looked around trying to figure out what's going on, that's when I seen a white orb floating towards me. "You don't have to fear me My Queen, I'm here to help you with your journey. Alora, you need to learn your Witch side first, then your Fairey side second. Train combat with your mother, you don't have a lot of time to train combat, your mother is with child, and it's going to be a dragon, she will start showing soon. I will be in touch with you soon My Queen, and by the way, you will need your bloodmate, do not push him away, you two have been paired together for a reason". As the orb disappeared, I heard a voice calling my name. I looked around in the darkness, I felt someone shaking me and calling my name more frantic. I instantly snapped out of it and opened my eyes and seen Dez standing over me with a worried look on his face.
