Chapter 148: Deja vu

Melody gathered everyone’s attention. “Follow me,” she instructed as the keeper led the way.

They exited the hall, turned left, and walked straight toward a wooden bridge.

The soft sound of the sea below and the strange sky above accompanied them as they moved toward the building on the right wing.

Ahead loomed a twelve-story building, tall and imposing on a small island, reaching toward the sky.

Takeuchi wasn’t impressed.

This was his second time seeing the building, and it already felt familiar.

Inside, the building’s grand appearance softened into a warm, rustic interior made of rich wood, giving it the feel of a cozy cabin.

The keeper exchanged a few words with Melody and then left, leaving the group to adjust to their surroundings.

Takeuchi glanced around, feeling both excited and uneasy.

As the other students chattered excitedly, Melody approached the receptionist, who greeted her with a warm smile and asked for proof of her identity.
