“Why, dude? Not happy with the cards you got?” Dani asked.
“Not exactly. They’re just…not good enough to fit in my deck. At best, they’ll be used while strategizing or playing with my side deck…”
He heaved a big sigh. Dani already knew that this man was the type who would discard anything that was not the best. He was picky, to the point of almost becoming a perfectionist.
And it was infuriating!
“Sigh. Then what should we do? Our captain won’t be able to sleep tonight at this rate. He’s already hot-headed enough as it is.”
“Don’t worry.” Ace beamed. “The night is still young. I still have lots of shops to introduce you guys to.”
“Ugh…Back to digging cardboard boxes we go, eh?”
Dani was slightly discouraged. Although treasure hunting was an exciting experience, being stuck in small dingy rooms didn’t feel too good.
Ace immediately gave him a smirk.
