Chapter 1: NEW ERA

The world was at peace until they appeared, the clock struck sharp at noon, the whole world witnessed something horrible that no man on Earth never expected to be possible. A cataclysm, an unexpected phenomenon caused by the monsters who crawled out of newly formed space cracks from an unknown dimension and they wrecked havoc throughout the lands of Earth. Many innocents lost their lives to the wicked Monsters throughout the time of cataclysm. However during humanity's most desperate moment, the Gods from ancient myths appeared at the same time as the monsters and decided to intervene by deciding to lend their hands to the pitiful humans.
Tower of Babel, created by the Gods who wished to help humanity and declared that the purpose of the tower was to reach heavens, a symbol of hope, achieve fame and power to the humanity. Nonetheless it was simply a prison created by the Gods for the most terrifying monsters ever lived. Alas, after its existence some monster races decided to live in peace on Earth and got themselves free from the clutches of Gods and got accustomed to Earth while the prideful monsters who rebelled against the Gods were imprisoned for an eternity after the tragic war between monsters and gods which lasted for 5 whole years, the Holy War. After countless sacrifices the Gods chose replace the deceased by human apostles, they received some power from Gods called 'Blessings'.
Later, a few humans decided to get revenge for their deceased who were killed in cold blood by the prisoned monsters in the tower, those humans gained supernatural abilities after their revenge by absorbing the monster's spirit stones. These humans who grow stronger by defeating the monsters are called "Hunters" and the humans who become stronger after receiving a blessings from the gods during the Great War are called, "Heroes". However unlike the Heroes who receive fame and fortune after helping the humanity, the Hunters were regarded as an eyesore in the society because the world declared the hunters as devil worshipers who receive blessings from the Demon inside the tower to grow stronger. Despite these criticisms no one dared to confront the hunters because they possessed powers on par with God's blessings. Even though the heroes and hunters are different in nature, both had to to depend on each other putting aside their differences to ensure the survival of mankind.
The tower had access to the akashic records, which is an omniscient presence above the Gods which gave humans the ability to gain skills, ranks, levels and artifacts in and out of tower.
Many years later after the world became peaceful...
A group of Assassins were chasing a man with bow in the lonely streets. However the man seems to be heavily wounded and was running for his life. Suddenly the wounded man disappeared without a trace and while Assassins were confused, the wounded man sneaked his way out as a form of shadow.
Almost an hour had passed after the man escaped and he treated his wounds with the medicine he stole on his way out. However the pursuing Assassins got closer to the wounded man and they found out some traces of his blood and eventually found the wounded man.
"Finally we managed to find you, A-rank Hero (Shadow Strike) Morin Noarr. So can you tell why did you betray our organization?", said the leader of the Assassins in a domineering tone.
"I Morin Noarr never regret what I've done nor will I ever regret what I've done to those inhumane bastards. Now come on just kill as you've been ordered you dogs of of those bastards"
*shush*
" ... Is this the way you speak to your former superior? Anyways do you really think I'll give you an easy death? Hahaha... How naive of you. I'll make sure to throw you in the tower after absorbing all your mana (magic energy) using my unique skill and grant you a miserable death."
*Arghhhhh* - Morin began screaming when his mana is absorbed by the Assassin Leader
After Morin's mana was absorbed by the Assassin, he dragged away Morin and threw him at the gates of babel. Morin who lost all his mana is currently weaker than an average 10 year old child and he will only become a cannon fodder for the monsters inside the tower.
Will Morin give up his life and accept death after living himself as an A-rank Hero or will he miraculously overcome the hardships and get his revenge on his own?
