As Ye Lingfeng gazed upon Zhouzhou's petite face, he finally relaxed a bit. With admiration, he gently pinched her chubby cheeks and remarked, "No room for pride when on a mission."
After a moment's thought, he added, "But you may indulge in it at other times."
"Nonsense," Zhouzhou retorted seriously, her face stern. "Who said I was proud? I'm very modest! Honest people aren't proud."
Ye Lingfeng nearly laughed. "Alright, honest person." Holding her hand, he looked towards the island, his gaze growing serious again.
"Let's go. Remember our plan, and don't wander off."
Zhouzhou nodded silently, gesturing back at him with a hand sign she had just been taught by Ye Lingfeng on the plane, meant for tactical communication.
Smiling, Ye Lingfeng nodded and led her forward.
The father and daughter, cloaked in invisibility spells, strolled boldly, unaffected even if they encountered pirates, calmly passing by without a fuss, unnoticed by anyone.
