Chapter 198: He Still Cares

Just as Huo Chuan raised his gun and wanted to continue dealing with the pirates, he heard a click. The gun was out of bullets.

Huo Chuan and Yun Qing's expressions froze.

"Are you out of bullets?" Yun Qing asked. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Yes." Huo Chuan's voice was trembling. "Yun Qing, listen to me. I'll go out and deal with them later. You find an opportunity to hide behind the reef and run away into the forest.

"That way, it won't be easy for them to catch you."

Huo Chuan seemed to be giving his last words in earnest.

Yun Qing stared at him. She clearly hated Huo Chuan, but she did not want to leave him behind.

If he died because he saved her, then wouldn't she owe him yet another debt?

"Did you hear me?" Huo Chuan grabbed Yun Qing's shoulder and asked as he stared into her dazed eyes.

Yun Qing was about to tell Huo Chuan what she was thinking when she saw a black gun from the corner of her eye.
