Chapter 52: Inashiro Vocational Vs. Seido High 3
"Pitcher change, Tanba Koichiro to Fujikawa Rei", announced the announcer.
Miyuki heaved a sigh of relief seeing Rei walk up to the mound since things weren't going as planned. "Tanba is not in a good condition", he thought.
All the other players also smiled and were feeling relieved seeing Rei come to the mound because things were getting tough for them, and they were glad to have a reliable pitcher.
Standing on the mound Rei smiled toward the team's defense and yelled, "I GOT THIS".
The infielders, outfielders, and all baseman chuckled.
"How are you feeling?", said Miyuki approaching Rei.
"I'm in a good condition. Can't wait to strike Inashiro's batters out", said Rei excitedly.
"He's the only one who would be excited in such a situation", thought Miyuki awkwardly.
A few minutes later.
Both Rei and Miyuki were in their positions ready.
Narumiya walked up to the batter's box.
"Let's see how this 1st year does", thought Narumiya getting in his batting stance.
Miyuki signaled Rei and he nodded.
Rei nodded and winded up his glove, took his pitching position, swung back his arm with force, and released the ball aiming toward the mitt.
Narumiya showed no reaction seeing the fastball hit the mitt with a speed of 150KM.
"M…MONSTER".
"Is that even possible for a 1st year".
Discussed the audience shocked seeing Rei's pitch.
The supporters for Inashiro were left speechless seeing Rei's pitch.
In Inashiro's Dugout.
"I see why Kataoka switched Tanba out so early", said Hiroshige.
His assistant nodded.
Harada had an envious look on his face. He envied that Seido had a lot of different capable pitchers to support Tanba. He had a feeling that Rei was even more dangerous of a pitcher than Tanba.
Back in the Field.
"STRIKE OUT! 3 OUTS! CHANGE!", said the umpire.
Rei walked back to Seido's Dugout after striking Narumiya out.
Miyuki smiled seeing Mei stomp back to his dugout.
In Seido's Dugout.
"OWAH! Thank God. BOSS send Rei in", said Sawamura handing Rei a water cup.
Rei smiled thinking, "He doesn't like seeing the team lose". He took the water cup and sat on the bench.
"How's Rei's condition", said Kataoka.
"He's doing amazing. His pitches have exceptional control, and he has a good amount of stamina", informed Chris.
Kataoka nodded.
"Sawamura and Kawakami. Go warm up just in case", said Kataoka.
"YES BOSS!", replied Sawamura enthusiastically.
Kawakami simply nodded.
"How Is it?", said Rei approaching Ryosuke.
"it's better since I used the cream. Feels like I won't feel the pain the whole day", whispered Ryosuke.
Rei smiled in response since he solved one of the issues.

Rei didn't pay attention to this notification as he was focused on the match.
Back in the Field. The start of the 5th inning.
Miyuki came to bat next.
Narumiya pitched and Miyuki fouled off the first pitch.
Narumiya threw a fastball to the inside and struck Miyuki out.
Masuko came to bat next and was struck out again.
"This Monster…why can't I hit it?", he thought walking back to the dugout.
Jun came to bat next; he knew he could hit Narumiya's pitch but what angered him was that Narumiya wasn't going all out against them. He swore to himself that he was going to hit it this time.
Narumiya pitched.
As the ball came toward Jun, he stared at the ball lost.
The ball was about to hit the mitt, but Jun intercepted and hit a ground ball. Jun just stood there at the mound shocked not knowing what he just did.
"RUN SPITZ!!!", yelled Sawamura from the dugout.
"DAMN IT!!", said Jun coming back to his senses as he ran to the 1st base.
"Safe!", said the umpire. Fortunately, Jun made it to the 1st base safely.
Rei came to bat next.
"Hello!", said Rei bowing to the catcher.
Harada nodded.
Taking his batting stance Rei smirked at Narumiya.
"I'll show you how a real ace pitches", thought Narumiya as he pitched.
Seeing the changeup coming toward him, Rei swung his bat making it hit the back screen.
"Predictable", snickered Rei as he walked all the bases.
Narumiya was shocked and froze up on the mound. He didn't know what went wrong.
Harada eyed Narumiya no one knew what he was thinking.
In Seido's Dugout.
Kuramochi and Ryosuke held in their joy since they just wanted to squeal and jump like girls.
"Yaahaa…what a home run", said Kuramochi.
"I agree", said Ryosuke.
"What a baseball monster", said Miyuki.
Rei and Jun came back to the dugout and were bombarded with praises.
"Here!", said Sawamura handing Rei a water cup.
"Arigato my servant", said Rei taking the cup.
"What great water", exclaimed Rei taking a sip of the water.
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!", said Sawamura pissed.
Everyone else just ignored their interaction since this happened between them way too often.
"This Home run was an important one. This would keep the team's morale up. Now I just hope we can keep this lead", thought Chris.
Back in the field.
Kadota came to bat next. He was struck out by Narumiya.
Walking back to the dugout, Harada was concerned about Narumiya.
In Inashiro's Dugout.
The team's atmosphere wasn't so great. They were feeling anxious.
"You, OK?", said Harada.
"Ne…how do you think I feel after a home run", said Narumiya.
Harada remained silent.
"Hahaha…I'll crush those novices. Don't they dare think they can win against me!", said Narumiya chuckling.
"He seems mad", thought Harada seeing Narumiya's expression.
Back in the field.
Rei and Miyuki were ready in their positions.
Riku came to bat and Rei struck him out.
The next 2 batters, Tsubasa and Katsumi were also struck out by Rei. They swung and missed in almost all his pitches.
Rei stuck his tongue out as he did his victory pose.
"He's on fire today", thought Miyuki walking back to the dugout alongside Rei.
In Inashiro's Dugout.
"Narumiya doesn't seem in a good condition after that home run. That made all the other player's morale low. They don't have much motivation in them anymore. This isn't looking good", thought Harada overlooking all his team members.
