Chapter 50: Chapter 49- The birthday party (Part-1)

It turned out that Declan had taken a day off. For the first time since their marriage, he wanted to take her out and spend some time with her. And she was stupid enough not to figure that out.

He indeed told her that he was free. But she misinterpreted his intention out of jealousy and resentment and refused to go shopping with him. Ultimately, she blew a golden opportunity to have fun with him.

'Shit…'

Yasmin immediately regretted her decision. She cursed herself inwardly. 

"I didn't know you were taking a day off," she muttered after some deliberation.

"It's okay. Enjoy the chocolate. And be on time tomorrow. I am hanging up now."

"Um…" Yasmin groaned, frustrated. She tossed the phone aside and slumped into bed. Her heart was heavy with disappointment.

"I am such an idiot. How can I be so cranky?" She buried her face in the pillow.
