Chapter 142: Trust No One.

"That was Ann, wasn't it?" Zoe asked with a disapproving frown as she stubbornly held on to Ann's phone after Grace hung up the call.

She had been on her way to Ann's room to confide in her concerning her discovery about Zhang Wei's sexuality but had paused when she heard Ann talking to herself before realizing she was on the phone. At first, she had been wondering when Ann had gotten a phone, but that had quickly been pushed away from her mind when she heard Ann's question about her handwriting.

"You had no right interrupting my conversation that way!" Ann told Zoe angrily when she finally managed to find her voice despite the ache in her head. 

"You're not fully recovered yet, and it is my responsibility to make sure that no one takes advantage of your situation, especially Ann. How could you call her even after myself and mom had told you all about her?" Zoe asked angrily. 

"Can you stop yelling?" Ann asked, raising her hand to her head.
