Chapter 46: "Ann?"

Immediately Wang Tae-Joon drove into the parking lot of Jiang Conglomerate. He turned to look at Brad, who seemed like he was deep in thought.

"I take it you're going in to see Grace," Tae-Joon asked, making it sound like a statement.

"Your fiancee? She works here?" Brad asked cocking a brow. It would have been great to see just how she behaved when she wasn't drunk and maybe to see if she remembered him or their kiss and to know why she had taken off like that. But unfortunately, he was a man who didn't like being distracted.

His main priority at the moment was finding his cousin and taking her home with him to see their grandmother.

"Of course, Jiang Grace, Jiang Conglomerate? didn't that ring a bell?" Tae-Joon asked, giving Brad a look that told him he thought he had asked a dumb question.

Brad whistled before asking, "She owns this place?"

"Wouldn't it be Grace's conglomerate if it was hers?" Tae-Joon asked with a sigh before opening the door and getting out of the car.

He auto-locked the car immediately after Brad stepped out and led him into the building.

"Her father is the Chairman of the company, and she manages one of the subsidiary branches that deals in lingerie," Tae-Joon said and paused with a frown on his face. Why was he suddenly giving Brad so much information?

"Well, I think I can now understand why she seemed so proud," Brad said with a grin, licking his front teeth as he looked around. Most staff in the company paused to look at them as they walked past them.

"They think we are twins even though I'm obviously the good-looking one between us," Brad said with a grin before winking at a female staff who was walking past him with a cup of coffee. Her face colored immediately, making his grin widen. Yeah, he had that effect on women everywhere he went.

"Since you're not here to see Grace, I'll just leave you to your business while I go in to pay her a surprise visit. Call me when you finish," Tae-Joon said before walking in the direction of Grace's office. He had helped Brad get a registered sim card on their way there and had exchanged contacts with him.

"Please excuse me," Brad said, hurrying after the lady with the coffee.

"Yes?" She asked with wide eyes, pleasantly surprised that he was talking to her.

"Please, where did you get that cup of coffee? I think I need a cup," Brad said with a smile.

"Oh! The company's cafe, It's just over there," The lady said, pointing in that direction.

"Do you know if a certain Ann Peters works around here?" He asked her with a polite smile.

"I'm not sure. It depends on the office she works in," The lady said with an apologetic smile before turning away.

He had forgotten to pick up the jotter in which he had jotted Ann's number, and her number wasn't saved on his phone since he had used the telephone at the hotel to call her.

He decided to first catch breakfast before looking for another way to contact her, even if it meant asking Tae-joon's fiancee.

**********

Grace sat at the company's cafe during her lunch break. She had skipped breakfast and was feeling very hungry.

'Princess Proud' She remembered the stranger from last night calling her that, and her lips curved in a small smile.

Even though she couldn't remember most details from the previous night, she remembered he had listened to all her ramblings.

She frowned when she suddenly remembered the call from Ann's cousin, he had said he was coming over to the office, and she wondered why he wasn't there yet, and why they were suddenly searching for Ann now that she was in Ann's body.

She felt, rather than saw, someone, walk past her and then lifted her head when she noticed someone was standing in front of her. She raised her head and gasped in surprise when she saw the guy from the club's rooftop grinning at her.

How had he known she worked there? What was he doing here? She wondered before quickly turning her face away from him to compose herself.

"Just the person I needed to see," Brad said with pleasure.

"I thought that was you when I walked past you before. Your perfume is quite unique," Brad said with a grin before sitting down opposite her and dropping his tray of coffee and donuts on her table.

"Wang Tae-Joon? Who are you?" She asked, feigning ignorance.

"Common on! Your first facial expression already gave you away, And you aren't going to give me that attitude right now, especially not after I saved your ass last night. Why did you run off on me like that?" He asked, looking directly into her eyes in a way that made her feel uncomfortable.

"I needed to get to work," Grace said with a sigh. Lying to him was pointless.

"How're you feeling? It's a miracle you survived the hangover enough to be at work," Brad said, making her wince.

"Why are you here alone, by the way? Your fiance went to your office a while ago," Brad said, making Grace frown.

"Fiance? What fiance?" She asked, looking at him with a frown.

"Yes. Aren't you Jiang Grace?" He asked, making her eyes widen in surprise.

"How did you know that?" Was it possible he could see into her soul? Could it be this was like one of those movies where only one's true love could see their true identity? She wondered.

"You dropped your credit card," Brad said, crashing her wild imagination.

"Oh! I guess that was how you found me. That wasn't my credit card. It belongs to my boss," She explained.

"Oh! Really?" He asked, looking at her with a frown. Even the sound of her referring to someone else as her boss didn't come out right. She didn't look like the type that could be pushed around or bossed around.

"Yeah. Thanks for returning the card. Can I have it?" She asked with an outstretched hand. How could she have dropped something like that?

"Sorry, her fiance took it. He thought she was the one in the room..." Brad said with a shrug.

"Okay, I will be returning to my office. Thanks for last night," Grace said, wanting to hurry off.

"Was that really your first kiss?" Brad asked, unable to stop himself, but he succeeded in stopping her from leaving.

"What are you talking about?" Grace asked, swallowing nervously.

"Nevermind. I need your help, though," He told her as he took a big bite from his donut.

"I'm not sure I'm in any position to help you, but let me hear it first," Grace said hesitantly.

"I'm actually here to see someone, but I can't reach her because I'm not with her number. I was wondering if you could help me find her," Brad said, making Grace's antennas go up.

"What's her name?" she asked as her heartbeat increased, she suspected she knew the name he was going to say, and she was sure she wasn't going to like it.

"Ann Peters. Please, where can I find her?" He asked.

"Ann!" Ann called out to Grace immediately. She saw her sitting with Brad before hurrying to join them, with Tae-Joon following behind her.

Tae-Joon had told her the guy's name in the picture was Brad Carter and had mentioned he found her credit card in Brad's room. She had almost had a heart attack when he told her Brad was in the company building looking for someone. Brad was her cousin, and Grace had spent the night with her supposed cousin. Her cousin was Tae-joon's replica. Different thoughts ran through Ann's mind as she hurried to their table.

Grace turned to look at Ann with her eyes which were still rounded in surprise, while Brad dropped his donut to look at her.

"Ann?" He asked in disbelief as he prayed it wasn't true.
