Chapter 109: Surprise

Camilo feigned an exasperated sigh, holding his wife by her arm as he turned her toward him. Smacking on her head, he sharpened his eyes at her. "You can't ever let anyone plan any surprise for you, can you?" 

"Surprise?" Perplexed, Christina gazed into her husband's eyes. 

"Yes, Ma'am, surprise!" Camilo shook his head. "Your son has been planning a surprise for you which is why he was out and since you almost caught him with your impeccable detective skills… he seems worried to you. He just can't hide things from you, can he? You know that better than me, don't you?" Camilo laughed it off, hoping for his wife to believe his words over her instincts. He looked at Ilyan. "Am I right, Ilyan?"

"Yes, Mom! Dad is right…" Ilyan did not have a memory of when he had lied to his mother last. He did not.
