Chapter 69: Knock Knock

"Irene," Ilyan held his hand out, calling for her 'engrossed in herself' figure inside, "come in." Upon seeing her standing at the door, he dropped his phone on the couch nearby and walked up to her. 

Lost in her thoughts, she had been staring in a void. 

"Knock knock!" He pressed his folded forefinger against her forehead, breaking her trance. 

Startled, she jumped a step back. "Ow, what are you doing?" She frowned, narrowing her eyes at him.

Ilyan chuckled at her annoyance. He could see that she clearly had not expected that. Feigning innocence, he wore a puzzled expression. "What am I doing? 

"Ilyaaan."

"Ireeene."

Her jaw dropped to see him mimicking her before they burst out laughing. 

"Okay, get inside now," Ilyan said, and shut the door behind them after she entered.

Just as Irene settled down on the couch as gestured by Ilyan, she saw someone approaching them.

"What would you like to have, Sir?"
