Chapter 79: New Rooms

After a while, everyone dispersed to their respective rooms.

Aaron and Max found themselves standing outside their own room, but Max was clearly struggling, his hand clasped over his nose as he winced in pain.

"It hurts, man," Max groaned, his voice muffled by his hand.

"You shouldn't have said that," Clara chimed in, her translucent form hovering over Aaron's shoulder, her eyes filled with concern.

"What do you mean? I didn't say anything wrong," Max retorted, confusion etched on his face.

Aaron knocked on the door once more, trying to divert their attention. "Well, she's not wrong," he added, nodding toward Clara, just as the door swung open, revealing Ethan. He stood there, wearing glasses, his expression indifferent.

"Hmm, I figured it would be you two," Ethan said, his tone devoid of emotion. Without waiting for an invitation, he stepped back, allowing them entry.
