Chapter 33: 33. Voodoo (2)

Needless to say I didn't sleep that night. I was afraid of what might happen if I closed my eyes. Chances were that I wouldn't survive the next ritual they performed on me.

Staying awake was hard as my eyes would close on their own accord and then I would jerk myself awake. 

Staying awake was only a temporary solution and at the moment, a temporary solution was what I needed. 

A temporary solution was better than no solution at all.

No matter how much I tried to stay awake, my body gave out and I ended up sleeping because when I woke up the next morning, I was in my bed and well tucked in.

I had already decided to ask Kai all the questions I had. However, my plans were put to a standstill when someone other than Kai was the one training him.

I tried to ask where Kai was but he ignored me like the jerk he was. I was tempted to strike him with my whip but I stopped myself, knowing he could easily take me out.
