Chapter 112: It Hurts

She spoke to him in a small tone that seemed to indicate fear and Valerio came to a halt.

His eyes fluttered in puzzlement, and he stared at her. "Why? D-sd I do anything wrong to you?" He asked in the most breaking voice, and Everly raised her head to look at him.

She had never heard him speak with such a voice.

Was he hurt by what she said to him? She wondered and took a step back from him.

"You have done everything by yourself, so... I will take my leave now." She said, not bothering to answer his question, and turned around to leave, but Valerio grabbed her hand and stopped her.

"Everly, you didn't answer me." He complained, and Everly turned around to face him.

She stared at him, and knowing he could see her, sudden anger filled her, and she snatched her hand from him. "I said, you shouldn't touch me, Valerio!" She glared at him, and having never seen her like this before, he knew instantly that she was really infuriated.
