Chapter 48: CHAPTER 47 : "Annika Is Scared To Sleep In The Dark.
"As Annika puzzled over Alex's refusal to switch on the lights despite her pleading, she spoke while standing near the bed. Despite her pleas, he refused, though he had said that he could not sleep when the lights were on . He coud have just switched on the lamp beside where l slept. He has shown how cunning he is. He is really arrogant, rude and selfish. I really despise him for this. Anyway, lecturing him is just usgg6vgeless. It's just the same as wasting my energy as well as my time," she said, whist pouring water into a glass. As she drank it, she choked when Alex's voice interrupted, " You're right. Trying to speak to me is just pointless".
Annika turned to face him. "You're awake ? But l heard you snoring like a pig, how come ?".
Alex smiled and spoke with a loud, clear voice". You may think that l don't hear while sleeping beside me, then you can find anyway to sleep . You can look around . There's a couch behind you, and also, the floor is an option".
Annika responded,"Sleeping beside you is not a promblem, but as l told you, l can't sleep with the lightd off. Get that". Her voice was filled with a loud and clear tone.
Alex retorted , " Are you deaf ?" Annika muttered, "Deaf ! As far as l know, l am not deaf".
Alex continued, "Yes, it sounds as if you're deaf. Didn't you hear what l said ? That l cannot sleep with the lights on. And also, grow up . You aren't a baby anymore who needs lights to be on . Forget me turning the lamps on. Get that. And please don't disturb me. I need to sleep. Goodnight".
Annika just drank her glass of water and look deep breaths, then she entered inside the sheets.
