Chapter 42: CHAPTER 41 : A Dance Deferred.
As the family gathered in the living room,DD proposed a dance for Alex and Annika to celebrate their reunion. However, Annika exhausted from a day spent in the kitchen, declined with a hint of frustration. Alex, understanding her fatigue, gracefully accepted her refusal and instead invited Soniya to dance.
With Soniya's hand in his, Alex led her to the dance floor, their movements filled with energy and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Annika retreated upstairs to her room , her mind filled with a mix of emotions.
Observing Alex's distracted demeanor, Soniya inquired about his well-being, sensing something amiss. Alex, feeling drained and preoccupied, explained that he needed rest and excused himself from the dance, leaving Soniya puzzled.
