We joined up with Gu Bei and Nie Li in the auditorium of the institute to meet up with those that had come. Oddly enough I saw Duan Jian in with the Skyblaze sect students. I waved him over while Nie Li caught his and Xiao Ning'er's attention.
They both came to sit with us to their peers surprise. Duan Jian sat to my right as was his place and Xiao Ning'er sat next to Nie Li obediently. Li Xingyun saw us and took the only available seat left at my left, between myself and Xiao Ning'er.
Several of the heavenly note sect gave odd looks while males from both the Skyblaze sect and the Divine Feathers sect gave him jealous looks. I chuckled as he sat down and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, entering his mind to have a private conversation.
To others they gave us weird and disgusted looks but well, fuck them. I was in a deal making mood. I told him I'd gotten my hands on some extraordinary and even several god growth rate dragon bloodline demon spirits and he was immediately interested, asking what I wanted in exchange.
I outlined an alliance agreement between any forces he had in the outside world and any we made. It was a binding one at that and should last eternally or until both sides died off permanently. He agreed especially when he heard the amount and what exactly I was offering.
He would become my left hand and receive a cut of all I had to offer him, be it ways, knowledge or simply a chance at power. When I confirmed his suspicions about the rumors of me being able to drain anyone of heavenly energy, and what I could do with it, he agreed to the pact and I released him.
To others it was as of good brothers or lovers even had shared a moment. The males were less jealous of him now and more irritated that he was occupying the only spot next to Xiao Ning'er that wasn't the man she was clinging to.
Hell, Nie Li would be dead a thousand times over if the looks of these young masters could kill. Luckily for him, my cold look back quelled most of the Divine feather sect's students. They whispered the rumors about me now having drained and left for dead another student in the training grounds.
Apparently there had been a witness but he'd feared coming over and possibly being drained to so he'd stayed in hiding and watched the ghouls kill the idiot after I'd drained him and left. The young masters of the Skyblaze sect brushed it off as rumor and superstition while the females gave me looks that bordered on lust and fear in a mixture that had a few quaking.
Gu Bei had a hundred extraordinary grow rate dragon bloodline demon spirits up for sale in this auction so I was looking forwards to seeing it happen. I passed Li Xingyun his ring for his agreement on the pact and passed another to Gu Bei to buy the stuff as it was full of two million spirit stones to be used on any bids Nei Li or I wanted him to.
With his background he'd be fine as no one could really pressure him no matter how high up they were favored. After all, a martial ancestor wouldn't act against a weakling for the sake of their students unless it was worth it to them.
A young master of the Skyblaze sect came over to try getting Li Xingyun and I to move saying. "There's no need for you good brothers to take the seats next to Xiao Ning'er when you're clearly with each other, why don't you give this young master some face and move to the opposite end of the table."
I gave him a cold look before saying. "How about I bend you over this table and shove my sword up your ass before taking my other one and turning this young master-"
I waved at him and his body before continuing. "-into a young mistress."
My words silenced the entire hall as a look of outrage and wrath passed across his face. I grunted and released my killing aura the suffocated all those nearby at the peak of the heavenly star realm and below. The young master passed out in a puddle of his own sweat and piss.
Snorting I stowed my killing intent and turned to one of the random Skyblaze sect students. "Take your young master back to your rooms. It seems he's all tuckered out."
The Skyblaze sect had lost a lot of face right then but their real leader had yet to show himself. The kid dragged the body of his peer back to their rooms while I puffed a plume of green fire burning away the piss and sweat pool as not to make the area stink. I sent a gust of wind law to blow away the vaporized particles into the faces of the other young masters looking at Xiao Ning'er with lust.
Nie Li laughed his ass off as did the rest of my table of friends and allies. While the rest of the gathered sect disciples looked at us with complicated expressions. My killing intent was enough to pressure heavenly axes realm experts for a few moments while leaving a deep impression on them and scaring those below half to death.
A few random nearby heavenly fate realm disciples had passed out from being too close when I released it. Long Yuyin the girl Nie Li had beaten down in sparing matches and was training for a possible future role as a supporter, came over and sat down on his other side, kicking Lu Piao to the curb where he was then forced to sit across from Nie Li and next to his fiancé and Xiao Yu.
He wasn't too angry about it but then, he was a good natured fellow after all. Long Tianming, the current head candidate and most likely to become sect master next to the current sect master's own son, came over to great Long Yuyin, his cousin.
She blew him off of course and as heavenly axis realm expert he wasn't really phased by it. He took the chance to pry at me and try to understand what he felt but I simply told him. "Piss off or I'll be forced to break the secrets special rule for me about not draining a dumb ass of his heavenly energy on school grounds."
He stilled and when I felt the pressure increase. I unleashed my full killing intent on him as I growled and made the connection. I couldn't physically move from my spot as his heavenly axis realm presence was like a soldi wall pressing in on me from all directions but I did tell him. "Last chance before I cripple you fool!"
My growl echoed to even the teacher's ears at the other end of the hall. Venerable Redsoul, the teacher that taught our classes saw what was happening but still and I noticed the martial ancestors watching now.
I chuckled as my bloodthirsty grin returned to my face. "It seems the martial ancestors wish to use you as a test dummy. Too bad for you."
I drained him ferociously, leaving no doubt of what I was doing as he paled and tried to stop me. Just as his soul realm was about to shatter, destroying any chance of him recovering easily, a presence stopped me whispering in my ear. "Let him go. He's learned his lesson."
I snorted and released the connection as the idiot fell to the ground, weakened and in need of recover. I growled. "Piss off. If it weren't for the sect rules and the martial ancestor backing you, you'd be dead now."
I turned, released from the heavenly axis pressure and saw venerable Redsoul there. He gave me a warning look. "If you do that again-"
I waved him off. "If the martial ancestors weren't testing me and had let you come over, I'd not have needed to act. I broke the rule they put in place sure, but they forced my hand and if they want to bitch about it they can bite my ass."
My words echoed the hall and shocked a great many. No heavenly star realm had ever dared be so blatantly arrogant and rude about a martial ancestor before. Venerable Redsoul frowned and I shrugged it off as he took Long Tianming away to help recover.
I touched Duan Juan's shoulder and put some of the vast energy that was swelling and warping my vine in places, inside him. He immediately went into cultivation right there as I snapped a barrier in place to protect him. He himself was already a six fate and the energy is given him would see him to the very edge of the heavenly star realm.
I made a connection with Nie Li, Xao Yu and the rest at the table, giving those at heavenly fate realm a chance to reach the peak and a few a slight chance to break through to heavenly star realm. Nie Li took the most of all of them while Xiao Ning'er and Xiao Yu took the least. I then turned the rest inwards as my vine popped out two more stars and formed the bud of the last.
Long Tianming had been close to the peak of heavenly axis realm when I drained him, that energy of it wasn't for the heavenly god tactics and Nie Li's own greedy vine, would've seen a regular person break through to the peak of heavenly star realm or even the beginning of heavenly I'm access realm.
Then again a normal person wouldn't have been able to stop a lot of it from leaving away assuming they could do what I'd done to begin with. I felt the martial ancestors fascination in what I'd done and their amusement at my arrogance.
They were above such things as petty revenge or most were said to be anyway. I usually was as well when I was at my full strength or even in my right state of mind but ever since I'd been stuck in this gods forsaken reality, I'd been experiencing mood fluctuations and constant aggressive swings.
Hell I'd not have treated Yang Xin like I had in any other circumstance but I'd really been influenced by something and I was at least clear headed enough to recognize that. I had a feeling I knew what it was and if I was right, there's nothing I can do about it anyway.
A few hours later, Long Tianming came back with two others the rest referred to as the holy son and maiden of the Skyblaze sect and Heavenly Note sect. He gave me a fearful and dirty look before turning his attention back to the two he considered his equals if only barely.
Everyone else had given our table a wide birth as I'd dropped someone without touching them like that. They whispered things like devil and demon but it meant nothing to me as I couldn't care less.
I looked over as each of them began waking up with smiles on their faces. Their connection using a soul array had ensured each of their advances was smooth when near each other. When they saw who was coming in, Xiao Ning'er pulled on Nie Li's shirt. "That's the Holy Maiden of our Heavenly Note Sect, Mingyue Wushuang!"
Nie Li followed Xiao Ning'er's line of sight. The girl he saw was as beautiful as the moon and was roughly twenty-six or twenty-seven. She had an unparalleled sense of style and her every movement carried a sense of elegance. One could vaguely see her smooth and fair skin through her muslin-like clothes.
She was barefoot with a silver bell attached to her ankle. As she walked, the clear ringing of the bell resounded. I followed their gazes but gave a look of disinterest as nothing really clicked for me. Hell, I'd have chosen Long Yuyin over the holy maiden if for no other reason than to feel her dragon physique's limits as her legs wrapped around my waist and toes curled while she convulsed around my member.
As it was though even she held only the slightest of my interest and nothing to speak of otherwise. Besides, she was Nie Li's pet and I don't do beta females. Even Yang Xin was her own woman and only answered to others when it pleases her.
I gave them all a bored stare while Long Yuyin made it to mine fate realm finally. I whispered to Duan Jian. "Does Long Yuyin tickle your fancy? She has a dragon physique as well."
I indicated to the girl in question whose keen ears picked up my words, causing her to blush and puff up her cheeks. She declared. "I not interested in seeing others right now."
I chuckled and told him while knowing she was listening. "That's not a solid no. Besides, the pursuit is half the fun. The getting to know your mate and courting stage if you will. Mayhap you'll both enjoy the thrill of the chase so much that the trees will shake when you've finally caught her."
Duan Jian looked at me blankly before turning to Long Yuyin as a fire began to burn in his eyes. She gulped and I sat back, giving them a full clear view of each other. Humming Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce, I watched the sparks ignite in them both as she physically responded, albeit subtly and unknowingly to his gaze.
He however caught it all as a light flame ignited on his brow. I brought out some wine and took a swig before patting him on the back, breaking his focus and handing him the bottle while the flame went out temporarily. He took it and drank while Long Yuyin let out a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding.
She cutely glared my way saying. "You're bullying me! I'll tell my mother!"
I shrugged. "I've found you a probable mate and future husband. His dragon bloodline is more pronounced than your own and he's interested, I'm sure she'll spare me and even thank me. Though I've no doubt she'd put on a show for you, I've no fear of a sap of the dragon peak expert while on institute grounds."
She glared at me before pouting to Nie Li who told her. "You should stand on your own two feet and not rely on your background to get your own way. I've no doubt the moment you tell him to, Duan Jian will back off and leave you be."
She huffed before giving me one last glare and turning away to see the auctioneer getting on the stage now. I chuckled and Duan Jian growled audibly at her lack of rejection. I could see a slight blush on her cheeks before I too turned to the stage as the auction began.
At that moment, a beautiful Heavenly Note Sect disciple stood up in the front of the room, lightly smiled, and addressed the crowd. "To be here in the Divine Feathers Sect today is my honour to receive. I am a disciple of the Heavenly Note Sect named Qin Yue. It is a pleasure to meet everyone. This auction shall be organised as per past events. Many items displayed today are treasures brought by the disciples of of all three major sects, and will be auctioned. Please do lend us your support!"
Everyone stopped their discussions and turned their attention to the front. In every year's auction, many rare items would appear. Some were submitted by the disciples of the three major sects, while others were courtesy of the higher-ups. Occasionally, one could purchase a high-valued item for an extremely great price; therefore, all the disciples paid much attention to this auction.
"The first item to be auctioned is a Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary Level growth rate demon spirit, a Bloodfury Earthen Dragon," Qin Yue said as she lightly smiled.
Gu Bei exchanged looks with us before we returned to looking at the stage.
Dragon Bloodline God Level growth rate demon spirits were priceless and the three major sects' higher-ups definitely wouldn't bring them out for sale. Beneath the God Level growth rate, was the Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary growth rate demon spirit.
A Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary growth rate demon spirit was also extremely precious; only people like Li Xingyun and Ye Xuan could obtain one from their families; after all, only powerful families like theirs could obtain such rare demon spirits. Since they were so rare, it was nearly impossible to find one for sale.
As for many from various families, a Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary growth rate demon spirit was a good fortune that would be encountered by luck and not sought.
The price competition instantly turned intense.
"Ten thousand spiritual stones!"
"Eleven thousand!"
"Eleven thousand five-hundred!"
"Twelve thousand!"
All the disciples frantically competed; however people like Long Tianming and Yan Yang, the holy son, were rather uninterested. Of course they wouldn't need something like that. Li Xingyun had received Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary growth rate demon spirits a long time ago; therefore, he did not participate in the betting. After all, such a demon spirit was extremely pricey and he didn't need any more.
However, there were still a lot of people competing for it and the price was being madly raised, reflecting just how intense the competition truly was.
In the end, that Extraordinary Level growth rate demon spirit was sold for twenty-seven thousand spiritual stones, to a disciple from the Skyblaze Sect.
Following that one were twenty more Extraordinary Level growth rate Dragon Bloodlines, each of which sold for over twenty-five thousand spiritual stones. The crowd became rather confused. In the past, such powerful demon spirits only appeared in ones or twos, so why were there so many this time?
All the Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary Level growth rate demon spirits were purchased by the Skyblaze Sect's disciples. They must certainly be wealthy to afford so much, or at least much wealthier than the disciples of the Divine Feathers Sect. Indeed, the Skyblaze Sect deserved to be the head of the six major sects!
"Next, we will auction a bottle of Demon Soul's Essence. This bottle has already been appraised, and has been determined to be of the Heavenly Star level. The starting bid is ten thousand spiritual stones!" Qin Yue lightly smiled as she continued, "Is anyone interested?"
Demon Soul's Essence can greatly enhance a demon spirit's strength. Nie Li nodded to Gu Bei so I let it go as he bought it for twenty thousand spiritual stones right off the bat.
After that came five more bottles of Demon Soul's Essence, but all were of the Heavenly Fate level, leaving none of the Heavenly Star level. They priced somewhere around two thousand spiritual stones each. Although Heavenly Fate level Demon Soul's Essence had some uses, there weren't terribly many.
However, Gu Bei still didn't stop there. Those five Demon Soul's Essences entered into his pocket as well.
As of then, Gu Bei had already spent nearly thirty thousand spiritual stones! The auction continued with the next item, a bottle of Heavenly Note Dew. The Heavenly Note Dew is a product refined by the Heavenly Note Sect's alchemists using various herbs. Its herbal effect is even more effective than spiritual stones. However, the crucial part was the fact that the Heavenly Note Dew could be easily absorbed; that was why it's effects were even more obvious!
Qin Yue lightly smiled, "Please, everyone, you don't all have to be anxious over this one bottle. On this trip to the Divine Feathers Sect, we brought a hundred bottles and will be selling in sets of ten. If you're interested, but cannot buy all ten together, then you're welcome to bid with friends!"
Soon, the atmosphere tensed up as people started forming groups in preparation to buy the Heavenly Note Dew. After all, buying ten altogether would be too difficult for the majority of those present.
The starting price for ten bottles of Heavenly Note Dew was ten thousand spiritual stones. However, the bidding didn't raise the price terribly high and stopped at around eleven to twelve thousand spiritual stones. After all, there were still eighty bottles left! Furthermore, all of the Heavenly Note Sect's disciples had backed off on this bid, leaving only the Skyblaze and Divine Feathers Sect disciples. Therefore, there was no need for such an intense competition.
However, to everyone's dismay, Gu Bei took seventy bottles of Heavenly Note Dew all for himself. Gu Bei secretly had to admit that he felt great when buying all of it. He'd never felt this great at spending money, even though all the money belonged to others.
Seventy bottles of Heavenly Note Dew, that was over seventy thousand spiritual stones!
Gu Bei didn't look terribly bothered as he tossed out massive sums and sums of spiritual stones. On the contrary, he still looked like he intended to buy more!
Xiao Ning'er quietly said to Nie Li, "Nie Li, I also brought plenty of Heavenly Note Dew with me, so you can have a few dozen when we get back!" Because of her high talent, the Heavenly Note Sect had provided Xiao Ning'er with a nearly infinite supply of Heavenly Note Dew for training. Although she'd used quite a bit for her own cultivation, she still had a lot left over.
"Alright." Nie Li casually smiled and nodded, accepting Xiao Ning'er's goodwill. When she returned to her sect, she'd definitely be able to acquire more. Before she returned, Nie Li would definitely gift her plenty of treasures, including a Dragon Bloodline God Level growth rate demon spirit. As for Heavenly Note Dew, Xiao Ning'er probably couldn't use them anymore.
They had a limit after all before the body would stop accepting it, like a drug tolerance.
The auction continued. After the bottles of Heavenly Note Dew, there were twenty more Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary Level growth rate demon spirits, accompanied by some Grade 1 and Grade 2 artifacts, and an assortment of elixirs for cultivation injuries.
The auction was extremely intense. After all, the items in this auction were things rarely seen elsewhere. Under the shocked eyes of everyone present, Gu Bei continued purchasing items that priced from fifty to sixty thousand spiritual stones.
As of that moment, the item on the auction stand was a Grade 3 artifact: an Amethyst Weight Vest. I'd indicated I wanted it so Gu Bei as the only bidder for it was announced the winner once more for eleven thousand spirit stones.
I was satisfied as while it was a set of armor, I wanted it for training my body instead. The weights the school provided were half the weight of trained with while with the nether master. This amethyst weight vest was perfect as it weighed ten times what the nether master had let me borrow.
As for Gu Bei, well, Gu Lan had recently been completely healed; therefore, Gu Bei finally decided to show his teeth and fight for power and a position within the family. However, he hadn't reversed his public image yet, so it was no surprise that he was spending so much to increase his influence with his younger family members in the crowd.
Between Gu Bei and Gu Lan, one of them had to stand out and fight for the Patriarch's position of the Gu Clan. Gu Bei wasn't going to sit idly by and watch Gu Heng take the seat and gain control of the Gu Clan!
Thanks to Nie Li's extended treatment, Gu Lan had already been completely healed. However, she still had to conceal herself and, furthermore, Gu Bei had now integrated with a Dragon Bloodline God Level growth rate demon spirit. Gu Bei had all the qualifications to stand out and fight for the Patriarch's seat; therefore, he no longer had to conceal his strength like he did in the past.
Several of the Gu Clan's younger generation, who were sitting in the corner, glanced in his direction and engaged in soft discussion.
"That looks like Gu Bei, right?"
"Gu Bei's sister has already been stripped of her position as successor and he's always been a licentious guy, so he could never obtain the qualifications for successor! Before, I always thought of him as a licentious good-for-nothing, but now that I'm looking at him, he doesn't sound like the guy from the rumors at all!"
"Yeah! He's buying so much stuff all at once, and just relying on his own wealth! That's something to be respected!"
The younger generations of the Gu Clan suddenly realised that they had to re-evaluate their opinion of Gu Bei. The Gu Clan was one of the three most powerful families of the Divine Feathers Sect, and their strength was undoubted. Back then, Gu Bei's sister, Gu Lan, had extraordinary talent, and was an existence who could rival Long Tianming. However, heaven was jealous of geniuses.
One day, a problem had occurred during her cultivation that left her lower body paralyzed. Despite the fact that Gu Heng's talent was still acceptable, he was still inferior to the super genius Long Tianming. After that, the family had always been worrying and hoping for another genius to appear in their younger generations.
And now, Gu Bei, who no one had ever paid much attention to, had suddenly, and unexpectedly, revealed his sharp fangs!
I chuckled at the thoughts, straight out of the book that took place now before turning my attention to the auction once more. Another Extraordinary Level growth rate Dragon Bloodline demon spirit made its appearance on the stage.
"There're so many Dragon Bloodline Extraordinary Level growth rate demon spirits being auctioned this year!" someone exclaimed from the sidelines.
In past auctions, it was already good to have just one or two Dragon bloodline Extraordinary Level growth rates; this year, there were already nearly eighty of those and it looked like there might still be more to come! This was indeed a shocking display to many but to me whom had provided them this was all rather boring.
Nie Li began talking to Gu Bei about his influence in his clan and I toned them out. As great as it is to discuss hostile takeovers and gain influence, these people's affairs didn't matter to me all that much.
I'd done my part and set the board for Nie Li and now the rest was up to him. I'd no interest in ruling a sect even if they all became martial ancestors and dao of the dragon experts. In the end their potential was limited and none could reach my true level.
The auction continued for another half an hour, after which the accounts were settled. I'd grown increasingly bored now and has started meditating while noticing the occasional look Gu Bei gave my swords. On a whim I unsheathed one and set it's bare blade on the table while he stared at it in concentration.
Finally when Qin Yue smiled sweetly as she said, "I'm sure everyone can't wait to see the main event for this auction. This item is extremely extraordinary, a treasure from ancient times. However, we have not determined its uses, till this day. As far as we're aware, it can increase your cultivating speed. However, no one can deny its value. A mysterious and unnamed higher up from one of the major sects has placed it in this auction, so that it may find its fated owner!",
I turned my attention to the stage once more, sheathing my blade and sending Gu Bei a thought beam. (Buy whatever it is they present next. Spend a million if need be, just get it!)
He gulped and nodded before I turned to Nie Li and told him. "I'm sorry brother Nie, but this is one item I'd kill even you for."
While only those at the table heard me, Nei Li gulped seriously as he turned his gaze to the stage, wondering what would be worth killing an ally for.
Someone yelled out. "Miss Qin Yue, please bring it out quickly!"
Qin Yue seemed very pleased with the effect that her words had produced on the crowd. She smiled and said, "Since everyone is so curious about this item, let's bring it out!"
Two girls slowly carried in a tray, which was covered by a red cloth.
When she took the scroll like item and unfurled it, Nie Li instantly understood why I'd warned him. It was the myriad rivers and mountains painting. A pocket world that produced it's own heavenly energy and sustained environment and something I had a feeling would help me greatly. Not just in the way Nie Li had used it before but so much more!"
Qin Yue lightly smiled at everyone, "I'll bet that everyone knows that this definitely isn't a simple item. Under normal circumstances, this item definitely wouldn't appear in this auction. However, we have been mystified over it. Since we don't know its uses, it only serves as a decoration for us. Even the mysterious higher-up who took this painting out doesn't know of its uses as well!"
The peon mortals were looking around while she gave the excuse the martial ancestors had used to hide their intent. They were searching for someone smart and talented enough to know it's used and unlock it before they could snatch it back! This was one of those times even martial ancestors would be petty and lower themselves to steal from others.
Usually such things were beneath them but in this case, where the item in question was extraordinary, they'd make an exception. It became a bidding war between the holy children, those with martial ancestors backing them, to try for the item.
After a while Gu Bei joined in and began bidding as well. He started by raising the price slowly until it was just him and the holy son of the Skyblaze sect. Finally when he apologized and bought it for a slightly higher price of two hundred and fifty thousand spirit stones the holy son let it go.
He went up to collect his winning as the auction was pretty much over with the painting being the final item up for auction. When he returned and Qin Yue announced the beginning of the second portion, I got up and slid passed him taking the ring that held my prize while announcing. "Why not wait for a while to come back to the second part. I'm sure each of us could use a stretch and something to drink while we talk deals and such amongst each other."
Qin Yue frowned but seeing as she'd been a witness to my actions earlier, she looked to the holy son and maiden as well as Long Tianming, who still looked pale and sickly. They each agreed with my words after seeing hers and many others reactions of fear by my presence and thought it would give them the opportunity to find out why even their own people reacted as such.
Qin Yue sighed and announced. "Then as senior brother says we shall take this time to mingle and get to know one another."
I nodded and turned to Nie Li before he followed me out. When we were outside the main door I asked him. "Have you used the seals I gave you?"
He nodded and slid up his sleeve and I sighed. "It's probably best if you do the rib cage as all it would take is someone chopping off a limb and you'd be as easy to find as any other."
We used our shadow devil demon spirits in sync and disappeared from everyone's senses. Even if a martial ancestor were right beside us they'd never know we were there.
We headed to Gu Lan's yard where I'd set up all we'd needed. The painting had tracers on it that could be tripped but nothing was active unless we got careless. I saw the painting in full as Nie Li drew the fake and we transferred the tracers onto the fake one with great difficulty.
Once they were in place, I added a few wards and runes of my own to the fake one that would seriously injure any martial ancestor if they got careless when trying to force the seal again. Nie Li took the fake back with him asking. "Are you sure about this? I mean, is it that important to you? I'd have thought it wouldn't-"
I gave him a glare and he shut up. Sighing I told him. "If I'm right, it'll be only a temporary loan before you can have it to do with as you wish. I've no real desperate need for actually using the painting, I'm going to try copying all the inscription patterns and adding it to my vine. Hopefully, this will help me break through in a different way than simply soul force or heavenly energy."
He nodded and went to speak but I cut him off. "Yes, yes, you can have it once I've finished copying the seals either way. Even if it doesn't work, it'll give me insight into what I need to do."
He took off and I meditated while copying every seal and vast intent in the painting onto my vine. It took over an hour moving at the speed of thought to do so. When I finished, my vine flowed and pulsed outwards as the inscription patterns suffused my soul realm.
They dimmed from the lack of heavenly energy needed to turn my soul realm into a realm like the myriad rivers and mountains painting but once I saw it would work, I removed a few unnecessary inscriptions including the ability to be used like the painting by others.
I most certainly didn't want others trying to treat me like a storage and cultivation device. When I realized how much it would take to get up and running I cursed. I'd have to be a peak martial ancestor, no longer in need of heavenly energy to be able to use it like I wanted to.
I stood up and put the original away after committing the process off making it to memory. The seed had rejected it but my soul realm hadn't. All I needed to make another real painting now was demon beast blood and time of which I had plenty of both. For now though I headed back to the auction and when Qin Yue saw me, she headed back to the stage.
There she announced the second part of the meeting, a sharing of dao and ways. I went into silent meditation after slipping Nie Li the ring with the original in it and he the fake to Gu Bei who was to have some of his family's men 'accidentally' loose it in the outside world of the draconic ruins realm.
