Chapter 107: Death is Too Good For You

It took almost an entire week before I fully recovered, but I didn't let that slow me down. Now that the city and kingdom of Jagar were safe, other issues needed dealing with. First and foremost, was my father, King Alphonse Vienerstien, or the head of him.

Shadar had transformed his body into a wheelchair that I now sat in with Princess Lilliana in my lap. She had complained about us looking foolish at first, but that worry disappeared fast. Once she had gently sat down on me, I wrapped my arms around her, and she gently cuddled into my chest. She stayed that way all the way to the laboratory that held my father and his guard's head.

"Do you think that he will actually tell you where your mother is?" Lily asked me after pulling back from my chest to look up at me.

"I don't really know. The man never really liked me before, and since first getting my class, it has only been downhill," I sighed as we got closer to the lab. "I just hope that he can see reason."
