Saki leaned on the side of the van door. The black tank top she wore exposing her skin to the cold material. The assignment was a piece of cake for her. She had to kill Lawrence Humington. An award-winning Journalist who has been following the agency footsteps. He was the target. She laughed to herself at how dumb it all was.

A journalist who had no business peering into a world in shadows. Journalists who has been curious why there were so many criminals missing before their crimes hit the morning news. A journalist was about to die tonight by the hands of her. She flipped the page of the packet of information on the Target, stumbled over a picture of the target lifting a little girl who looked to be no older than twelve into the air. Her adolescent smile was contagious as the target smiled back at her.

The, little girl polka dot dress flowed down to her sandals. The little girl reached for the target in laughter. Studying the description box, Saki found out that the smiling little girl was his daughter.Saki felt a pang of sympathy hit her chest. It pricked at her sides. She would be the end of this family. "If only he was smarter." she mumbled to herself.

Saki stubbed out her cigarette on the bottom of her fur boots before heading over to the team of three. Why the general picked out a team of people with mixed abilities for her she did not understand. She gave him brownie points for picking out a feline Shifter. A Seer. Black magic Witch. That was a rebel.

Aokigahara was known for its suicide stories of troubled teens coming to the forest for eternal tranquility. The forest was a grave of bodies with its grey tint and luminescent glow. A Sign that parents wrote for the kids read out "you are always in our hearts" eaten by erosion. The haunted forest was on the west side of mount fuji. A two-hour drive away from Shinigami. The residents of the town remained far away from the misty selection of dense earth.

"A helicopter would be better than trekking through all those woods," Jack said as he shaded his vision from the thick fog surrounding them.

Since the van pulled into the opening the forest, it was as if the fog was following behind them.Touching their skin with clouded hands."walking is pointless, General Julio should have just got a damn helicopter. We would have been there by now." he scrutinized the ocean of trees protecting the forest. Twisted Branches huddled over one another in safe defense. He made his way back to the van, his chest puffed in anger.

"Can't you just appreciate that we are on vacation from the sappy ass missions they assign us to." Maggie tightened her coated mouth in aggravation. "Stop complaining and keep your narrow eyes out for any trespassers."

"Maggie," he started in exaggeration, "what does it seem like I'm doing." Jack motioned to his position. He had his Vortex Viper slung on his shoulder. Waiting for anyone in extensive range who wished to pass through the cautious forest. They concealed his Smith And Wesson in his gun belt wrapped around his waist for anyone who came close enough. Even a Black Magic user needed alternatives.

His job was to patrol while Sophie traced the map to the interior of the camp.Where the target cowardly hid with armed bodyguards. They needed to get inside without being detected and Sophie, the team member with brains, was head Captain for it.

Maggie shifted to her claws as she drew arcs in the oncoming mist out of boredom. "Complaining." she spelled out to him.

Supporting his arm on a neighboring tree, Jack pulled a silver flask out his cargo pants. He twisted the flask open and poured the continents of ale on his expecting tongue. The translucent liquid burning his throat in acceptance. His dark irises cocked their way towards Sofia. "I haven't complained since I was out of my mother's womb, " he uncaringly tossed the flask in the trees."I'm just saying, why the hell do we have to walk through all those trees? I mean it's like a maze in there." Jack pointed a thumb in the forest's direction. The dirt path curved in every direction.

Maggie sauntered over to the side of the Van door to sit down. Her raven locks stuffed into a messy fish's tail. Her brows furrowed in annoyance. She rolled her Lavenders at him. "Jack, go ask General Júlio." She pressed as she searched for her nail filer. She didn't want to attempt the mission with her nails chipped to her that would be a sad site and in feline form they would just get snag.Poured the contents of cosmetics on the leather of the van floor. "Where the heck did I put it?" she thought to herself. "Hey Sophie?"

"Yes?" Sophie said, engrossed in tracing the outline of the forest onto the sheet of paper. She Had a variety of Pens tucked in her mouth as she worked on her craft. They voted on Sophie to do the tracing because her handwriting was the best out of the small group. Maggie couldn't trace for the life of her, Jack tracing was too aggressive and Saki didn't care for it.

"Have you seen my filer? I can't find it in my make-up bag!" She yelled over to Sophie as she scrambled through all her cosmetics, "I swore I put it in my bag." she whined. Maggie poked out her bottom lip in frustration.

Sophie paused her craft, her drawing drifting to the floor. She reached behind her to get her knapsack. "Here," she said as she tugged the stubborn filer from out the front pocket. "You let me use it on the way here."

Maggie smiled in relief as she retrieved the Zebra filer from Sophie." I have to tell you, you're the best" she said sweetly. The little things mattered, and she adored Sophie for always being there anytime she called. Her forgetfulness was going to get the best of her one day, and she knew Sophie would be with her every step of the way.

Her face heated with affection. Maggie made her heart swell with love only a big sister could receive. Granted They threw Maggie into the Bellendon household as payment for her mother, taking advantage of things she shouldn't have. Sophie had found someone who was witty and kooky.

Yes, Maggie could be a dimwit, but she wouldn't want anyone else. Maggie wouldn't leave her like her parents did. Never to look back. Never to say goodbye. Sophie shook her head out of the fog of depression. She knew better to go back into those memories, but it was a failed attempt. Her hands were already starting to tremble at the thought of abandonment.

Maggie felt a pang from her inner panther. It was an electric shock that told her something was wrong. She turned to notice Sophie mindlessly chewed on her nails. She reached for the filer in her hand, laid it on the armrest beside them. "Are you okay, Sophie?" she asked as her words turned into concern.

She was aware of the look of hurt and confusion on Sophie's face. Understood that when she bit her nails, she was stuck into a mindless loop in her head.

"Hey, Soph, they lost out on a talented daughter." her knowing gaze caught Sophie's baby blues.

"They fucked up on losing you because I have you. I chose to never let you go" it was the connection to her panther that told her what Sophie needed.

Maggie pulled her hands towards her heart and made a funny face. The one where you fold your upper lip over your gums."I love you." She said through her teeth.

Sophie burst out in laughter so hard her belly hurt. She reciprocated her love and told the group to get ready to leave. Her memories of her parents far behind her. The trembling of her hands at ease.

Jack raised his palms above his head with a chuckle. His sinister smirk coming to play on his lips. The ragged scar that sliced through his cheek bone blended well with his dark humor."aw, you guys, you know it's all love right here." he drawled as he pressed a tanned hand towards his groin. "

"Fuck off jack." Maggie said, as she pushed Sophie out of his view with her hip. The protecting sister she was.

Saki laughed to herself as the two sisters ganged up on Jack.

Into the whispering forest they went, Saki's silky braid swinging behind her. She had the blade of her Jian sword steadied in front of her, Her hazel orbs present to her surroundings. Her eagle irises ready for any sudden movement.

Jack appeared in front♢ of her. His cloak treading through the dusty dirt as his muscular form walked along the forest path. His mesmerizing green eyes shone with nuisance.

Saki peered down to see Maggie following beside her.Sophie on her left,She seemed antsy. Her blues paranoid to every sound in the forest.

Maggie on her right. Even in Panther form She was inseparable.Maggie had jet black fur with splashes of gold in her fur.Her long tail dragged behind them as they walked into the trail of danger. She welcomed it.
