Kade soared through the Earth's atmosphere, his heart pounding with urgency as he hurtled toward the chaos below. The familiar skyline of New York City came into view, but it was not as he remembered.
Smoke billowed from shattered buildings, fires raged uncontrollably, and the streets were filled with the sounds of panic and destruction. His eyes, sharp as ever, immediately caught sight of the massive alien ship hovering above the city—a vessel he recognized all too well. The Shadow People's stone ship, once a symbol of oppression and now a tool of Hulk's vengeance.
(KADE POV)
'So this is what you've come to, Bruce?' I thought, the weight of disappointment heavy in my chest. I could feel the sun's energy coursing through my veins, restoring me to full power, but with it came a deep, simmering anger I hadn't felt in a long time. The Hulk's Warbound were here, and they were wreaking havoc on the city I called home.
My eyes scanned the chaos below, and through the debris, I spotted civilians trapped under rubble, children crying out for help, and desperate souls running from the warbound soldiers that patrolled the streets like conquerors. My jaw tightened, and without a moment's hesitation, I zipped down to the surface, the wind howling in my ears.
Landing on the ground, I immediately switched into action. Using my x-ray vision, i identified those buried beneath the rubble, pinpointing their locations with precision. He moved with incredible speed, pulling debris off of trapped civilians and ferrying them to safety, my hands a blur as he worked tirelessly to save as many as I could.
"Thank you! Oh, God, thank you!" a woman cried as I lifted a concrete slab from her legs.
I offered her a reassuring nod but no smile. There was no room for pleasantries today—only action. As k continued the rescue efforts, a small voice in the back of my mind kept nagging at me, a reminder of the bigger problem. I couldn't keep doing this forever, not while Hulk was on the loose. But every life saved was a victory, and I wouldn't abandon these people.
"Please, help my son!" an elderly man shouted, pointing to a nearby collapsed building.
I was there in a flash, lifting the debris and pulling the boy free. The child looked up at me, wide-eyed and awestruck. "Superman..."
"Yes, it's me," I said softly, setting the boy down next to his father. But as i stood up, my gaze drifted back to the stadium at the heart of the city—the source of all this madness. He could hear the roars of the crowd from here, see the massive screens broadcasting the horrific gladiatorial spectacle for all to see. And there, in the center of it all, was Hulk, sitting on a makeshift throne, watching as the Illuminati—the very heroes who had once stood alongside me—were forced to fight each other like animals.
This ends now.
I took a deep breath, feeling the fabric of his costume stretch and shift as i accessed the hidden compartment within my suit. The blue-and-red outfit I usually wore was now torn and soiled from his recent battles. But hidden beneath it was something else—a gift I had saved for a special occasion, one I had never imagined would be used like this.
The new suit materialized around me, a clean, classic design reminiscent of my earliest days as Superman, complete with the iconic red trunks. But this one was different. Made by Reed Richards out of unstable molecules, it was practically indestructible, a perfect fit for the battle to come. I glanced down at the "S" on my chest, feeling a surge of renewed strength and purpose.
"This ends now, Bruce," I muttered, clenching my fists as I shot into the air.
(POV END)
In the blink of an eye, Kade was above the stadium, his eyes glowing red with barely-contained fury. Without a word, he dove down, crashing through the massive stone ship with the force of a meteor. The ship buckled under the impact, crumbling in on itself as it plummeted toward the ground. Screams echoed from within as it smashed into the earth, sending a shockwave through the city.
Inside the arena, the crowd went silent, all eyes turning to the massive hole in the ceiling where Kade now hovered, his cape billowing in the wind. The once jubilant expressions of the Warbound soldiers turned to fear as they recognized the man standing before them—not as the jovial hero they were used to, but as a force of nature, an embodiment of wrath.
Kade's voice was calm, yet it carried an undeniable authority.
"Leave."
For a moment, the arena was still. Then, like a dam breaking, the civilians in the stands erupted into motion, rushing for the exits as fast as their legs could carry them. The Warbound soldiers, once eager to enforce Hulk's will, found themselves too terrified to move. They had heard tales of Superman's power, but this was something else entirely. This was a man who had seen too much, lost too much, and had no more patience left to give.
Kade turned his attention to the heroes still in the arena, his heart heavy with pity as he looked at them. They were barely recognizable, their once proud faces now marred by exhaustion and despair, each of them forced into combat by the cruel disks affixed to their necks. Without a word, Kade unleashed a precise burst of heat vision, searing through the control collars and freeing them from their torment.
"Thank you..." Tony Stark whispered, rubbing his neck where the disk had been. But Kade didn't respond. He couldn't bring himself to smile, not now. There was no victory here, only sorrow. His eyes were focused on one figure alone—the man sitting on the throne, watching with cold, calculating eyes.
The Hulk.
The green giant rose from his seat, leaping down to the arena floor with a thunderous crash. The ground trembled under his weight as he walked toward Kade, his Warbound gathering behind him in a show of solidarity. Kade stood his ground, his eyes locked on Hulk's, unflinching.
Hulk's voice rumbled through the stadium, low and menacing. "What do you think you're doing, Kade? They haven't paid for what they did. None of them have."
Kade's response was measured, almost tired. "It's enough, Bruce. You've made your point. They understand your pain... I understand your pain."
" No, you don't!" Hulk roared, the anger in his voice palpable. "You think you do, but you don't. None of you do. You weren't there! You didn't suffer like we did. They destroyed everything—everything I had. They deserve to die for what they did."
Kade sighed, a mixture of regret and resolve in his eyes. "Bruce... this isn't the way. We're your friends. We can help you, but this—this isn't you."
Hulk's eyes narrowed, a dangerous gleam in them. "You're either with me or against me, Kade what will it be."
Silence fell between them, the weight of the ultimatum hanging in the air. The Warbound stood ready, their expressions hard, unwavering in their loyalty to Hulk. But Kade didn't move, didn't flinch. He just stared at the man who was once his friend, a man who had become something else entirely.
Hulk smiled grimly, knowing the choice Kade already picked'. "That's what I thought."
Before Hulk could react, Kade moved, faster than the eye could see. His fist connected with Hulk's side, sending the jade giant crashing into the stadium's walls with a force that shook the entire structure. The Warbound sprang into action, their weapons drawn, but Kade stood his ground, letting them come.
"Traitor!" Korg bellowed, swinging his massive mace at Kade's head.
Kade didn't even flinch. The mace struck him with the force of a freight train, but he remained unmoved, the blow doing nothing more than annoying him. The Warbound unleashed their fury upon him, their attacks relentless, but Kade was a fortress, unyielding and indestructible. Their strikes were met with indifference, their weapons shattering against his skin.
With a single motion, Kade clapped his hands together, unleashing a shockwave that sent the Warbound flying back, their bodies skidding across the arena floor. He moved like a blur, his eyes locking onto Miek, the insectoid who had been the catalyst for all this madness. Kade reached him in an instant, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground.
"This is all your fault," Kade growled, his voice low and dangerous as his eyes flared red.
But before he could say more, Hulk was back, smashing into Kade with a devastating punch that sent him careening across the stadium. Kade hit the ground hard, but he recovered quickly, flipping to his feet just in time to block another of Hulk's punches. The impact echoed through the arena like a cannon blast, the sheer force of it cracking the ground beneath them.
Hulk's eyes were wild with rage as he slammed his fists into Kade again and again, each blow heavier than the last. But Kade met him head-on, his own punches landing with earth-shattering force. For a moment, it seemed like Hulk was no match for Kade's power, but then Kade felt it—Hulk was getting stronger.
Each punch was harder, each strike more powerful. Kade could feel the ground trembling beneath them as Hulk's strength grew, fed by his unrelenting anger. He was unstoppable, a force of nature that could not be contained. Kade's mind raced, searching for a way to end this before it got out of hand. But there was no time—Hulk was upon him again, his fists like sledgehammers as they crashed down on Kade's body.
The blows were relentless, and for the first time, Kade felt the sting of pain. He gritted his teeth, enduring the onslaught as best he could, but Hulk's fury was unquenchable. Kade could see it in his eyes—the blind rage, the desire for vengeance that had consumed him.
And then, something snapped inside Kade. He wasn't going to let Bruce destroy himself—not like this.
With a roar of his own, Kade caught Hulk's fists, his strength pushing back against the green behemoth. For a moment, they stood locked in a titanic struggle, each pushing the other to their limits. But Kade had the advantage—his mind was clear, his purpose resolute.
"Bruce!" Kade shouted, his voice cutting through the noise like a knife. "Stop! This isn't who you are! You're better than this!"
But the Hulk didn't stop. He couldn't stop. The anger had taken hold, and there was no reasoning with him. Kade knew what he had to do, and it broke his heart.
In a flash, Kade shifted his grip, grabbing Hulk by the shoulders and slamming him into the ground with enough force to shatter the entire arena floor. The earth cracked and buckled beneath them as Kade unleashed his full power, pinning Hulk down with all his might.
But even then, Hulk didn't relent. He struggled against Kade's grip, his strength growing with every passing second. Kade could feel the strain in his muscles as he held on, his mind racing for a solution.
Then, it hit him—Hulk's strength was tied to his anger. The only way to stop him was to calm him down, to break through the rage and reach the man inside. But how?
'Come on, Bruce, Kade thought, his heart aching for his friend. I know you're in there'.
Kade leaned in close, his voice soft but firm.
"Bruce... please. Don't make me do this. You're my friend... I don't want to hurt you."
For a moment, it seemed like Hulk heard him. The wild look in his eyes faltered, the anger giving way to something else—something Kade hadn't seen in a long time.
"Everyone would always say you were the strongest being on Earth the strongest hero SHIELD even said that you could beat me well I guess we'll find out who the strongest one really is" Hulk said.
Hulk snarled, baring his teeth as he charged at Kade with a speed that belied his massive frame. The ground cracked and shattered beneath him as he launched himself forward, his fists clenched and ready to bring down destruction. But Kade was ready.
In an instant, Kade shot forward to meet Hulk's charge, moving faster than the eye could follow. Their fists collided with a force that shook the entire stadium, sending shockwaves rippling outward in all directions. The ground beneath them erupted, throwing up chunks of debris and sending cracks spider-webbing through the earth.
But this time, Kade didn't stop at matching Hulk's strength. He pushed harder, his muscles straining as he forced Hulk back, his blows landing with a speed and precision that even the Hulk struggled to keep up with. Each punch sent a shockwave through the air, creating a cacophony of destruction as the arena began to collapse around them.
"Bruce!" Kade shouted over the roar of their battle, his voice tinged with desperation. "You have to stop this! You're stronger than this—stronger than the anger!"
But Hulk wasn't listening. His eyes, glowing with a feral intensity, were fixed solely on Kade, his mind consumed by rage. With a bellowing roar, Hulk swung wildly, his fists tearing through the air as he aimed for Kade's head. Kade dodged each blow with practiced ease, but he could feel the raw power behind them, the sheer force that could level cities.
Hulk's next punch came in fast, but this time, Kade didn't evade. He met Hulk's fist with his own, the impact sending a shockwave that shattered what remained of the arena's walls. Dust and debris filled the air, obscuring the battlefield as the two titans clashed with a ferocity that seemed to defy the laws of nature.
Kade could feel the strain on his body, the immense pressure of Hulk's strength bearing down on him. But he couldn't afford to falter. With a determined growl, he poured more of his energy into his punches, each blow landing with enough force to level a mountain. The ground beneath them buckled and cracked, the stadium around them crumbling into ruin.
Hulk was relentless, his rage driving him to greater heights of power with each passing moment. Kade had fought many powerful foes in his time, but none like this. None with the raw, unchecked fury that fueled the Hulk. It was as if the planet itself was being torn apart by their battle, the very fabric of reality straining under the weight of their clash.
But Hulk's only response was another earth-shattering punch that sent Kade flying across the battlefield, crashing through what remained of the stadium's walls and into the city beyond. Kade skidded to a halt, tearing up the street as he tried to regain his footing. Buildings around him swayed and collapsed, unable to withstand the force of their battle.
Kade rose to his feet, shaking off the debris that clung to him. His new suit, pristine and unblemished, was torn and scorched from the heat of their battle. He could feel the weight of the world pressing down on him, the knowledge that if he didn't end this soon, the destruction would be catastrophic and countless lives would be lost.
Hulk was on him again in an instant, his massive form barreling through the city streets with reckless abandon. Kade met his charge head-on, the two titans colliding with a force that shook the entire city. They exchanged blows with a speed and ferocity that left the ground beneath them in ruins, their fists tearing through the air with the force of hurricanes.
(KADE POV)
'I'm done holding back'
With a surge of power, I grabbed Hulk by the arm, twisting it with enough force to send the green behemoth crashing into the ground. Before Hulk could recover, I was on him, raining down a barrage of punches that cratered the earth beneath them. Each blow was delivered with precision, designed to subdue rather than destroy, but I could feel the strain on my body as I unleashed my full strength.
"I've never used my full power before but if that's what it takes to knock some sense into you than it'll be my pleasure"I said to Hulk as I twisted his arm.
Hulk roared in pain and fury, his muscles bulging as he fought to rise. I didn't give him the chance. I wrapped my arms around Hulk, lifting him into the air and slamming him back down with enough force to create a massive crater in the city's center. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the ground, toppling buildings and sending debris flying in all directions.
I hovered above the crater, my breath coming in ragged gasps. I could feel the toll the battle was taking on me, the strain of holding back the full extent of my power for so long. But I couldn't stop now. I had to keep going, had to bring Bruce back before it was too late.
Hulk struggled to his feet, his body trembling with exertion, his eyes blazing with unrestrained fury. I could see the conflict in his friend's eyes, the war being waged within him, but it was clear that the Hulk's rage was winning. Bruce was slipping further and further away, consumed by the monster within.
I clenched my fists, my resolve hardening.I had to end this, no matter the cost.I shot forward, my body a blur of motion as i collided with Hulk once more. The impact sent us both crashing through the city streets, tearing up the ground and sending shockwaves rippling through the earth.
We fought with a ferocity that defied reason, their blows landing with enough force to level entire city blocks. I could feel the strain on my body, the toll of unleashing my full power for the first time in years. But i couldn't stop now I had to keep going, had to bring Hulk down before any more damage was done.
With a burst of speed, I dodged Hulk's next punch, appearing behind him in an instant. I wrapped my arms around Hulk's torso, lifting the massive behemoth into the air and hurling him across the city. Hulk crashed into a skyscraper, the building collapsing around him as he tore through it, landing in a heap of rubble on the other side.
I didn't give him a moment to recover. He shot forward, my body a blur of red and blue as he delivered a series of rapid punches, each one landing with the force of a freight train. Hulk grunted in pain, his body trembling under the onslaught, but he refused to go down.
"Stay down, Bruce," Kade pleaded, his voice filled with an uncharacteristic edge of desperation.Hulk just grunted standing up spit a tooth out of his mouth."you've just made me mad and you should know already what happens when I get mad"
(POV END)
Kade could feel the power radiating from Hulk, growing with each passing second. It was as if the giant was drawing strength from the very earth beneath him, his body swelling with raw energy. Kade's mind raced—he couldn't let the fight continue here. The arena was already in ruins, and if the battle escalated any further, the entire city, the world could be obliterated.
He had to take the fight somewhere else—somewhere away from innocent lives.
With a swift movement, Kade delivered a powerful uppercut to Hulk's chin, sending him soaring into the air. Before the giant could recover, Kade darted beneath him, wrapping his arms around Hulk's waist and rocketing into the sky. They tore through the clouds at supersonic speeds, the wind howling in Kade's ears as they ascended higher and higher.
Hulk roared in fury, thrashing against Kade's grip, but Kade held firm, pushing his flight to its limits. Below them, the city became a distant speck, the destruction they had wrought now far beneath the clouds. Kade gritted his teeth, his muscles straining as he fought to keep Hulk in his grasp. The giant's strength was incredible, and Kade could feel his own power being tested as he struggled to maintain control.
But he couldn't let go. Not yet.
With one final burst of speed, Kade propelled them toward a remote mountain range, far from any civilization. The jagged peaks jutted out like the teeth of some ancient beast, and Kade aimed for the highest summit, knowing the terrain would provide some measure of containment for what was about to come.
At the last moment, Kade released his grip, sending Hulk crashing into the mountainside with earth-shattering force. The impact caused an avalanche, tons of snow and rock cascading down the slopes. Kade hovered in the air, catching his breath as he watched the dust and debris settle. But he knew better than to think the fight was over.
Sure enough, Hulk erupted from the rubble with a roar, his body glowing with a faint green light. His eyes burned with fury as he charged toward Kade, the ground trembling beneath his feet with every step. Kade braced himself, knowing that this was the moment of truth.
There was no more reasoning, no more holding back. If he wanted to save Bruce—and everyone else—he had to use everything he had.
Hulk leaped at Kade, his fists raised to deliver a crushing blow. But this time, Kade was ready. With a burst of speed, he dodged the attack, appearing behind Hulk in a blur of motion. He unleashed a flurry of strikes, each one aimed at vital points, each one landing with enough force to shatter steel.
Hulk grunted in pain, but his rage drove him on. He swung wildly, his fists crashing into the mountain and sending boulders tumbling down the slopes. Kade danced around him, avoiding the blows with practiced ease, his own attacks growing more powerful with each passing second.
The mountain trembled as their battle intensified, the very air crackling with energy. Kade could feel that his punches were starting to hurt the Hulk less and less. But he couldn't stop now. He had to keep going, had to bring Hulk down before the giant's strength grew any further.
With a powerful kick, Kade sent Hulk crashing through the mountain's peak, the force of the blow creating a shockwave that echoed across the range. Kade followed up with a barrage of punches, each one driving Hulk further into the rock. The giant's roars of anger echoed through the mountains, but Kade pressed on, his strikes relentless.
He couldn't afford to let Hulk recover. Not even for a moment.
Kade grabbed Hulk by the arm, twisting it with enough force to send the giant crashing into the ground below. Before Hulk could rise, Kade was on him, raining down a series of powerful blows that cracked the earth beneath them. Each punch was delivered with the full weight of Kade's power, the ground trembling with the force of his strikes.
Hulk roared in pain and fury, his body trembling with exertion. Kade could see the struggle in his eyes, the battle between the mind of Bruce Banner and the monster that had taken over. But the Hulk's rage was relentless, driving him to new heights of strength even as Kade's blows rained down upon him.
Kade gritted his teeth, his muscles straining as he unleashed another devastating attack, driving Hulk deeper into the earth. He has to keep on going he couldn't stop. Not now. Not when so much was at stake.
With one final, earth-shattering blow, Kade sent Hulk crashing into the heart of the mountain, the impact causing the entire peak to collapse. The ground buckled and cracked, the force of the explosion sending shockwaves rippling through the earth. Kade hovered above the ruins, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he watched the dust and debris settle.
For a moment, there was silence. The mountains stood still, the only sound the distant rumble of aftershocks. Kade's chest heaved with exhaustion, his body battered and bruised from the intensity of the fight. But he allowed himself a moment of relief. It was over. The Hulk was down, and the battle was won.
Or so he thought.
As the dust began to clear, Kade's eyes widened in shock. From the depths of the collapsed mountain, a figure began to rise. Hulk's massive form, battered but unbroken, emerged from the rubble. His eyes were no longer just filled with rage—they were glowing with an intense, ominous green light. The faint glow that had been present before had now intensified, radiating from his entire body.
Hulk's roar shattered the stillness, his voice echoing across the mountains as the green energy surged around him, crackling like lightning. Kade's heart sank as he realized what was happening—the Hulk was getting stronger, far stronger than he had ever been before. The glow wasn't just a manifestation of his rage; it was something more, something that Kade had never seen before.
Hulk's body pulsed with energy, the ground trembling beneath him as the green light grew brighter. Kade could feel the power radiating from him, a force of nature that seemed unstoppable. And for the first time since the battle began, Kade felt a flicker of doubt.
Had he miscalculated? Had he underestimated the Hulk's power?
Kade hovered in the air, his mind racing as he considered his next move. He had thrown everything he had at Hulk, unleashed the full extent of his power, and yet it hadn't been enough. The green giant was still standing, and now he was stronger than ever.
Kade's fists clenched at his sides as he prepared for the next round, his resolve hardening once more. He couldn't afford to doubt himself now. He had to keep fighting, had to find a way to bring Hulk down. But as the green light enveloped the Hulk, growing brighter and more intense, Kade knew this battle was far from over.
The mountain range around them trembled as Hulk let out another roar, the green energy surging from his body and crackling through the air. The ground beneath Kade's feet felt fragile, like a thin sheet of glass ready to shatter at any moment. The world itself seemed to bend under the weight of Hulk's power, the very air vibrating with the force of his rage.
Kade narrowed his eyes, his body tensing as he prepared to face the oncoming storm.
