Chapter 201: The Makina

Jack wished to die than to experience this humiliation. A boy younger than him just gave him a look that made him feel bad. It was true that he warned him. He didn't expect the weapon just to vanish into thin air. He was confident he held it tightly, since Stephan's words bugged him.

Stephan heard their footsteps behind him. If it wasn't for Abnu's light, he wouldn't be able to see anything. The others didn't have the chance to have Abnu or see her light so everything was dark for them. The whole tunnel was cloaked in darkness.

When they finally thought they reached a point where the ground showed up, not in the form of stairs, some laughter and chatting sounded in the air. The whole way, Stephan was using his Eye of the Beholder. There wasn't any trap, which was weird. He expected the place to be full of traps and enchantments, something to keep any intruder away but nothing was there. There were traces of their existence but nothing was triggered.
