I Found You
"So you're trying to say your father is a part of the adventurers that went to slay the goblins and you're here to look for him".
" Yes", I replied Lake.
"And this girl over here is your little sister who just for no reason likes to wear leaf based clothes".
"Exactly", I replied.
Of course, the part about the blonde hair monkey girl being my sister was a lie. Lake was a few centimetres taller than me,he had blonde spikey hair which complimented how handsome he was, though my silver hair stood out for me,I could tell he was way handsome than me, his pupils were all black, he was wearing a light costume which made him move around freely and attached to his waist was a wooden sword with some strange writings on it.
" Now that we're on good terms, don't mind i show off my charms", Lake said walking towards monkey girl.
He then held monkey girl's hand and started being all pervy like, telling her how cute she was and how he had searched all his life for a beauty. Monkey girl didn't show concern, she just kept shunning him till he made a drastic move on her, holding her hand and stretching his head forward for a kiss.
It was truly surprising, my mouth opened wide, clearly he didn't know that was just a monkey girl. Monkey girl quickly raised her knee and landed a kick straight at his balls, she then ran to me holding my hand and pushing her body towards me.
"I'm for my Master only", she said giving a mocking face to Lake.
All I could do was laugh looking at Lake about to cry as I saw a tear in his eyes.
He stood up all decent like nothing happened till a gave out a little chuckle, he felt all embarrassed, it must have been the first time a girl rejected him. I then asked if he could take us to the knights.
" Actually, I ran from the troop to see the cause of the lightning, but I guess I can lead you to the knights".
"Alright, let's go save my dad", I said happily as I thought about what Lake said earlier, how they weren't sure if the adventurers were killed already.
It was noon right now, Lake, monkey girl and I were heading towards were the knights would be; the site of the quest.
" Lake you know how dangerous the situation is, why did you decide to come along with the knights? ", I asked.
"I should be the one telling you that, you're way younger than me and you came into Kailes Forest", he replied as if he were scolding me.
" Anyway", Lake said as he folded his arms.
"You see, I'm actually a second year knight in training in Ether Academy and I'm here for battle experience".
" I never knew the academy would allow an 11 years old to go along with the knights knowing the risk", I said to him.
"You guessed right, the academy only admits a student at 10 years so you would know I'm 11 years old in second year", Lake replied.
I was thinking about it, Lake must be an exceptional student, they must have trusted that he would be able to survive the threat in Kailes Forest, I wouldn't want to mess with him.
I was getting tired of walking through the forest, there was no time, Sean could be in trouble right now.
" Hey Lake, are we clo. . .".
"June, run!!, Sean is in trouble", a voice interrupted me, it sounded like my mother's voice, it was the same as when I had that nightmare, Lake and monkey girl didn't hear the voice but I heard it loud and clear.
I ran ahead of them, if the voice was right then Sean is still alive but won't last long, I just have to save him. I ran to an open field in the forest, thee were no grass what so ever, it was a plain ground, at the later end of the open field was a boulder and right at the centre beneath the boulder was a cave.
I was scared, Sean should be inside with that horned beast, it was just like my dream, I was sweating all over, I was paralyzed with fear.
*Clang*
The sound of a metal hitting something pulled me from drowning in fear. Clearly, someone was fighting with the horned beast inside the cave, maybe it was one of the knights, I said to myself.
I moved closer to the cave and peeked to see if there was any sign of the horned beast or the knights. I went in after assuring the horned beast wasn't at the entrance, it would probably be at the end of the cave facing the knights. I didn't want to be a pessimist but I didn't think the knights would be able to defeat the beast, if they could, what would be the essence of the dream I had and the voice I heard.
First of all, I need to find Sean and get out of here, I didn't want any encounter with the horned beast. I walked inside the cave for some while and began to smell the horrible stench of blood, I brought out a magic lamp from my satchel and activated the magic core within it, causing it to emit rays of light, it belong to Sean but I felt I should bring it along.
After a few seconds of searching, I found the corpses of the adventurers, all the adventurers were dead on the ground except for Sean, I became worried the more, I kept saying these words,
"Sean would be alright, Sean would be alright", as I kept on moving forward when I found something, it was a human figure, it was Sean laying on a rock in the cave, he was unconscious but still alive, I couldn't hold my joy, I had finally found Sean.
