Chapter 61: Ancient books in the Library
As Stefan along with Tyler and the magician entered the library. The group of children who were bullying Tyler were tied up and taken by someone. The children's leader struggled and looked at the back of Tyler with malicious intent. The leader's eyes flashed with red light for a moment and disappeared as soon it appeared.
Stefan seemed to feel something and looked back, just in time for the red light to disappear from the leader's eyes. Stefan instantly became alert. He has not forgotten what he heard in the market.
The mermaid that died gruesomely left a long-lasting impression on Stefan. No matter what, he did not want to take any risk for Tyler. First is because Tyler might be the main lead of the novel and second because Tyler's eyes reminded Stefan of Aouli who had disappeared to who knows where.
The moment Stefan entered the library, the system came online.
Ding!!!!
"Hello, Host!!! How are you?", Heli said as soon as he came online.
"I am fine, How are you and do you have any idea about Aouli's location?"
"Host, I am fine. Currently, I am not able to locate Aouli. However, don't worry, host, Since the moment I sensed the disruption. I quickly copied my data and sent it to follow Aouli. Although, I am not able to detect it now. When we arrived here, I checked Li's location, and he is in the opposite direction of yours.", Heli explained patiently.
Stefan breathed a sigh of relief when he came to know about Li. At least now, he knew that Li was not alone and that Heli had helped him get a system like his own, which made him feel less tense.
"That's good. Thank you so much, Heli. I was very worried about Li. Thankfully, you helped him on time", said Stefan and heaved a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, Tyler called out to Stefan the third time after getting no response from him.
"Brother?"
Stefan replied, "Yes" and then looked up, only to realize that they have already reached the first floor.
"What are you thinking, brother?", Tyler asked, as from outside, it seemed as if Stefan was pondering something seriously.
"It's nothing. Just thinking what kind of books should I choose, since I have no idea what all books are available here", Stefan replied calmly.
But in his mind, Heli was explaining to him the information about the mission he just received.

{Thousands of years ago, this library used to be a powerful sect of cultivators. Many powerful cultivators, juniors and young generations were trained here and then ascended to heaven. However, unlike the expectations, at some point, after ascending they all met a gruesome death. Unable to descend to the world, in desperation they decided to sacrifice their lives in order to warn the younger generations.
Unfortunately for them, the youngsters to whom they sent the warning did not take their warning seriously at all. Some of them even tried to ascend, despite their predecessor's efforts to stop them.
Many of them even initiated force and torture to check the results of the warning given by their predecessors. On the expense of having their souls scattered, the predecessor's tried to stop the talented individuals. Numerous cultivators thought of it as some kind of conspiracy by their competitors and, so, they did not listen to the instructions of their masters and still decided to ascend.
Unsurprisingly, none of them succeeded. The light that descends in order to help the cultivators for ascending burned their strong bodies to ashes and their soul was scattered throughout the three realms.
This was actually a restriction placed by the predecessors in order to stop the younger generations from ascending. In addition, there was also a protection array in that, however, for some reason the array did not function, and those fellow cultivators suffered irreversible damage never to be reborn.
Facing the unknown crisis, the predecessors foresaw the future that contained destruction of the world with the help of some forbidden spells that costed them heavily. Immediately after that, powerful cultivators from these sects started disappearing for unknown reasons. When people organized search and rescue groups, they too disappeared unknowingly.
As the world progressed, the cultivators decided to stay indoors and practice to become more powerful in order to be ready to face any potential crisis in the future. The sects were disbanded and only a handful of cultivators remained to protect the legacies of these sects. After some time, they also grew old and died while protecting these legacies.
Watching as numerous sects were reduced to dust in no time. Cultivators decided to collect all these legacies and create a library on the top sect, named
TASK: The host is required to find books suitable for the current physique in order to get the best possible cultivation technique. The books found by host will be merged, and their cultivation techniques will be compiled to form a new set of cultivation techniques.

Stefan was immensely surprised after reading the information, but his face did not show any extra emotion or expression. After all, this was the first time that he came across such a lengthy detail about his mission. Even the mission about saving Princess Esha was not so much detailed. He decided to ask Heli about this.
"Don't you think this task is too detailed, Heli?" questioned Stefan.
"Host, this is because you have upgraded your powers. One of the reason it is so detailed is also because you completed a Hidden Side Quest. However, I am not able to alert you regarding the same as it is divided into two parts, and you have only completed one of them till now".
Just as Stefan was going to ask Heli to give him some clues about the second hidden quest. He once again fell into a mysterious state when seeing a vision. He subconsciously glanced towards Tyler and the magician, only to realize that they are discussing something. Likewise, he breathed a sigh of relief and asked Heli to hide his state from them.
Stefan closed his eyes and the shape of the eye slowly formed on his forehead. Stefan was shocked to see that in the vision....!

Stardust_46 Hello, Bunnies!!!! How are you all? Did you miss me? I missed you guys very much.!!
Before this when I wrote the chapter, the electricity was cut off and I was unaware of it, so when my laptop shut down due to low battery, all my efforts went into the drain.
I tried to restore it for a long time but to no avail. So, I wrote this chapter differently from the previous one.
Okay enough about me! How are my Bunnies and what are you guys doing? Did you miss Stefan? After all, it has been a long time since we met him...
Hmm... the reason for not uploading the chapter much earlier is that I already told my Bunnies about me being admitted for emergency medical treatment.
Still, I could feel my Bunnies' concern and silent care. Thank you so much for your support, love, and care towards me. I appreciate it and I am really very grateful for it.
