After the meeting ended, Lan Zhuo and Zhao Yufeng went back to FeiYi's Headquaters. Zhao Yufeng looked at Lan Zhuo and asked "Was it Miss Zhang's call you attended in the middle of the meeting?" with a sly smirk on his face.
Lan Zhuo scowled and said " It seems that you have no work these days and that's making you idle enough to gossip huh... I should probably increase the work load you have...? "
Yufeng developed cold sweat on his back, so much that his shirt got drenched. He immediately had a fawning look on his face and said " How can it be? I have so much work! plus my boss is a very good person! plus nothing is going on, yes! nothing is going on. I do not who called, I don't want to know either! Anyways you have any orders for me boss?"
Lan Zhuo glanced at him and asked " How is it? Was he responsible for the break in that happened earlier this morning? " Zhao Yufeng pause for a moment before saying " You're right. It was him. I must say he went to such lengths to conceal his hand this time. It's a pity though, He was still traceable. He had one of his subordinates who are better than the last time to contact his usual gang who in turn contacted another gang under them who broke in. It was a little difficult to track them this time around. all of their traces has been erased from the traffic cameras around the apartment and the cameras in few other areas had the similar kind of distortion. So, predicting where they went is a bit of a challenge at the moment. But you know our people, they're working on it so we might get the result in some time. As to who the gang was, it was easy because they were careless and they left behind some evidence at the apartment. They were probably in a hurry to flee." He smirked and asked "What do you want to do now? You avoid touching the Elite Bar and Casino since you don't want to startle your enemy as it's the Thunder squadron's base."
Lan Zhuo's lips curled up into a sneer. He looked at Yufeng and said "Lay out a trap for the small fry. After they're caught in it, cage them in. Hand them over to the authorities with all the proof we have against them. Get this done anonymously. It's not time to reveal ourselves yet. I want to force him into his wit's end first but I also know that he will be able to overcome this setback. Hmmm. Let's give them a little more work this time. After we finish this let's attack one of his hideouts. the one near the abandoned factory at the outskirts in the west. We need to get this done in a week and involve the authorities as well since the base contains smuggled items."
Zhao Yufeng's expression resembled that of a child who had been given his favourite candy. He was very excited to have some fun. Lan Zhuo who had finished giving out the rest of the instructions noticed his expression and said " You aren't on the front lines so what are you getting all excited for? Contact Qiao Yu and tell him to take over. once it's done, join him and keep an eye on Lan Jingfeng. I need a report on his every movement, even when he goes into the restroom and when he comes out."
Zhao Yufeng sulked but agreed nonetheless. Lan Zhuo watched him go out with a hint of amusement in his eyes. His best friend was always like an open book when he was in front of them. He sighed when he thought of all the sufferings he (ZY) had to go through. He then stood up and walked to the huge window. He silently looked at the bustling city with his mind whirring about his future plans. He frowned when he realised he had to take into account a new variable. He closed his eyes and thought 'Zhang Xiulan, are you a friend or a foe? If you really are a foe then what is your motive?'
NOTE: Thunder squadron is the group of people working directly under Lan Jingfeng. They are by no means a set of honorable people but they're quite skilled and maintain quite a bit of discipline. They are no way at the standard of all the special ops. They're a bunch of people who are very good at what they do.
