Chapter 10: A Flag of Misfortune
Somewhere else.
"Incompetent fool! What happened here? he is one of our most talented person but he was reduced into this state?" A man with a tattered robe suddenly appeared and seemed agitated.
"He was defeated by unknown person. It is unclear how he was beaten but I am pretty sure the people who did this is strong enough to handle our talented agent." A hooded man replied.
"All I ask is just that he brought back that seemingly like Princess from Srivi Mojo Kingdom but he was defeated like this? Now how can we find the truth?" A masked man replied while pointing his finger to the unconscious person.
". . ."
the silent suddenly envelop the situation as the masked man became angrier. Nobody dares to talk as this masked man seems to hold high authority.
"For an assassin guild member to be this worthless. It was a laughing stock for the world." the masked man added.
"But he was...-"
"Bugh" a loud noise can be heard as the masked man hit someone who talked earlier.
"Shut your mouth! Do I need reason from you?" the masked man shouted.
"..."
Again, nobody talked anymore.
"The Princess is alive, what a turnout of event." the masked man mumbling by himself.
"This is gonna be interesting, even two years has passed but I still won't forget that face. Now I can pay for the unfinished business." He talked while grinning by himself. The grin that was filled with malicious desire, which easily instill fear for normal person.
"You, go and spy that princess for me. You only have this opportunity, shall you failed death will embrace you." The masked man pointed a shadow like figure.
"Yes, I will do the job without failure." The shadow like figure answered and slowly fade away just like smoke.
Meanwhile in another place.
"What is this uneasiness? it seems like something is about to happen." Gen talked to himself. He is well aware this uneasiness is not something that he can just let go. He remembered the time when he rejected his uneasiness that led all of his friends in near death experience. Not to mention that Gen realized he is quite sensitive to ill omen since he was a kid. However, little did he know, that his omen reading ability is not a coincidence.
"What is wrong Gen?" Sri Puspa asked as she tried to calm the mind of the gentleman.
"I don't know, but I feel like we should be very careful, I feel so uneasy lately." Gen replied with anxiety.
"It is okay, I am fine already. After all you knocked them out cold right? With you things will be better for sure." Sri looked at Gen and give him a push to break the weird mood lingering.
"Thanks, I wish you are right." He nodded.
This without a doubt made his mind wonder, if he was raising a flag of misfortune. A cliche experience that happened a lot in a novel he used read.

In a dense forest far away. A crack that seemingly like a broken glass suddenly appeared and create a pitch black void. It became bigger and bigger over time. Until a beastly hand reached out the forest from the seemingly black void.
"Graaaaaaaggghh!!!!!"
A loud and eerie cry suddenly enveloped the whole forest as the creature slowly merged from the void. As loud as thunder, as cold as ice, the voice brimming with despair reached out the realm of human. An entity that never been seen before.
The ooze like substance engulfed its body, as miasma seeping away from his whole entity. An embodiment of malice bestowed upon human itself slowly walked inside the jungle. Its claw crushed the thick tree. Its gaze froze the huge living deer alive in front of it.
"Swoosh" it suddenly jumps and pounces the deer. Just like that, a huge deer lose its life and fall prey to the creature. It ate the whole deer as if it was the embodiment gluttony itself.
Its eyes are blood like red crimson gazing from the darkness of the thick forest. It walked and walked while continuing its massacre party. The forest was filled with deep impression of fresh blood. Be animal or human crossed its path met their own demise.
Suddenly the void that let out the creature slowly become smaller and smaller until it disappeared like it was never exist before. Yet, the terror had just begun. The malice Gen felt. The uneasiness truly becomes a reality. A reality that soon threatened mankind and plunge them to despair.
