Chapter 3: Who is Suzy?
"How do you know her? And why did she ran away from you?" Sana asked.
"Sana, she is the one."
"What? Seriously? You didn't even looked at her properly and you already like her?" She misunderstood what Ash meant. Listening to this he made a face and said,
"Stupid. Listen properly she was the one present there think properly. Remember her face dude. You also know her, in fact only you know she exists."
"What are you trying to say? Only I know she exists?" She was unable to understand anything.
"Think properly you will know what am I trying to say." said Ash.
While going back to hostel she was thinking of asking Suzy about the library incident when she heard some voices...
"Do you really think this is what she was trying to do?" This was her mom's voice she looked around but her mom was not there she could only hear her voice.
"I think so, but from these notes it doesn't really indicate that. She could be a colleague but the tone of the note doesn't seem good." This was her Dad's voice she again looked around but still could not find him anywhere also she could not confirm the source of the voices.
"Let's just check it out. At this point we cannot neglect anything." She heard her mom's voice again. She was confused so she called her parents and asked them there whereabouts. She found out both of them were out of town due to some work. She couldn't figure out what just happened and ignored it thinking maybe she is just hearing things. Because now the voices stopped.
Her room was empty when she reached hostel, she asked the warden about hostel timings for evening and she told her that there are no such timings.
"You just have to write your destination in the register before leaving hostel."
"But I clearly read the rules on the college website and it definitely said something about night curfew." She looked up on the internet but to her surprise there was nothing like that written there.
She was so happy, because she wanted her hostel to be like that, she didn't even realized that it is weird. She wanted to join a part time job so she got ready and called Ash,
"I am going to find myself a part time job, will you join me?"
"Nope. I already have made plans with my brand new friends." Judging from his voice he seemed enthusiastic and excited about his "brand new friends".
"Your policy hasn't changed yet?"
"What policy?"
"Forget old friends when got some new ones. This one."
"I don't have any such policy and anyway this plan was made earlier than yours so don't spoil my mood. Bye." He irked and hung up the call.
"Let's go Sana, you are getting late." She muttered to herself.
She then went alone and thought, "Should I also call some of my new friends? But whom should I call? Yes her, What was her name? What did she looked like? How come I don't remember her name or face?"
"Today is the first day, maybe that's why. I should ask them again tomorrow." Sana didn't paid attention to it she thought it's just because it is the first day. Anyway she continued to search for a part time job she had already applied for some, the day before moving in the hostel but they all were quite far, she wanted to look for somewhere close to the college.
After checking a lot of places for part-time job she was tired and hungry. She went to a cafeteria to get herself something to eat and a cold coffee to refresh. While she was waiting for her order she saw a person selling handmade colorful bracelets.
"They are beautiful." She smiled but then her smile slowly faded when she remembered something. Suzy's face came to her mind she was afraid of something but the weird thing was she looked quite young than now and was wearing almost the same handmade bracelet which just now Sana saw.
"What was that?" She asked herself. At the same time the waitress came with her order so she thought Sana asked her something.
"What do you mean miss?" she asked.
"No, nothing. I was talking to myself. Sorry and thank you for this." said Sana.
Sana's brain was storming with questions after the weird memory just flashed. "What was that? What was Suzy doing? And who in the world is she? How do I even know her?" She tried very hard to remember anything else but was unable to think anything.
"I think I should call Ash, he was saying something this morning in the library maybe this is what he was talking about."
Ash wasn't picking up her calls now.
"Why did I even expected from him to take calls, from him who never does that when it's urgent. I should text him."
The text says:
I REMEMBERED SOMETHING ABOUT SUZY BUT IT IS A BLURRED MEMORY. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND AND RECALL WHAT WAS THAT MAYBE IT WAS SOMETHING RELATED TO THINGS WHICH YOU SAID EARLIER IN THE LIBRARY. I AM FRUSTRATED COZ I CAN'T REMEMBER A THING EXCEPT THAT MEMORY. CALL ME ONCE YOU READ THIS.
"I don't think this will work but lets try calling Suzy."
"As expected, even her phone is off."
When she was murmuring all these things to herself the staff and other customers in the cafeteria were giving her weird glances but Sana had no idea about that, she was busy thinking all kind of scenarios.
"Still he hasn't checked the message yet." She checked her phone repeatedly but there was no response from any one of them. She finished her food, grabbed her coffee and headed to the hostel in a hurry.
"Suzy?" She shouted while opening the door wide as soon as she reached her room, her eyes expecting someone to be there but the room was still empty.
"Suzy is not here she changed her room this afternoon." came a voice behind her. Sana turned and saw her senior Tia who's sleep she disturbed this morning.
"What on earth happened between you two that she changed her room on the first day itself." Tia asked.
"I don't know this morning when I met her in the library, in the beginning she was fine but later when she saw my friend.."
"She ran out from the library." added Tia
"How do you know this?"
"I was heading towards library to return some books I issued that's when I saw her running out then you guys also came running behind her but she disappeared by the time you reached there."
"I am confused by her behaviour. Seriously." Sighed Sana and then went inside her room followed by Tia.
"So which room did she went to?" Sana wanted to talk it out with Suzy.
"I don't know, when I came room was empty after a while the warden by mistake came to this room to give her a package she received and then went to other room when she remembered Suzy has changed rooms. That's when I got to know about it." Explained Tia.
'I wanted to talk it out but she has decided to avoid me. Let's see to what extent will you avoid me Ms. Suzy.' thought Sana and got back to her work(study).

"Really? Was it you who did such a thing. Your face doesn't looks like you would do anything like that, but as I am proceeding towards the truth from the evidences I have collected so far it is becoming clearer that you are not the victim as you claimed to be. You have always been there as a shadow and now what, you are trying to avoid me. To what extent will you avoid me Miss. Suzanne."
