Awakening
Darkness deep unending darkness holds me, captive in this infinite space, I feel nothing no lonliness, no sorrow, nothing just emptiness. I suddenly feel a strange tugging sensation drawing me in, pulling me in an uncomfortable crushing me the pain I feel is unbearable this goes on for what seems hours then the pain suddenly stops. A blinding white light shines through the darkness illuminatining the once vibrant land I was trapped in sucking me towards it drawing closer I feel my consciousness fade...
I awaken to a sudden burst of pain wracking through my body, the pain is dulled by a disgusting feeling of euphoria, I can feel again, this feeling is overtaken by a crippling burst of weakness coursing through me. I feel a sudden feeling of suffocation which causes me to take a deep breath the air I feel flowing into my lungs is suprisingly crisp, the joy I feel from being able to breath once more is indescribable. After enjoying the feeling of basking in warmth I flutter my eyes open revealing to me an endless expanse of blue dotted with fully pure white clouds after blinking a few times my vision clears allowing me to notice some details like two small dark blue birds flying in tandem the golden crest on their heads shimmering in the sunlight.
After hours of slowly getting used to the sensation of moving my body I was finally able to move my limbs freely. After failing to stand by myself multiple times I sat down on the ground scaning the horizon I noticed a faint shimmering, focusing on that spot I found it to be a beautiful lake, small fish swim freely through it like mirrors floating along. Slowly getting onto my hands and knees I crawl towards the water finally reaching the water I freeze, noticing the relfection in the water, I saw myself, flowing lilac hair with white highlights piercing golden eyes, entranced I reach towards my relfection only breaking out of the trance when I feel the bitting chill surge through my hand quickly withdrawing my hand I sit at the edge of the lake. After I finish gathering my thoughs I look at the water once again, this time not distracted by my reflection I reach toward the water with my cupped hands I scoop up a handfull of water and pour it directly into my mouth soothing my parched throat.
Slowly standing up using a nearby tree as support I start to stumble along following the river downstream. After a few hours I was finally able to walk steadily, I stopped for a drink when a sudden rustle distracted me. I look up to see a small ugly green creature lumbering toward me with a small wooden stick fationed into a club it snarls before charging right towards me realising the created wanted to attack me a step to the side completely avoiding the undisiplined attack. Looking up at me with slightly bloodshot eyes the creature dashes toward me flailing its weapon wildly in an attempt to hit me. I look toward the creature with undisguised disdain before kicking it in the throat knocking the creature of balance. I walk toward the green monster that is flailing about on the ground before I stomp on its windpipe letting it slowly suffocate, suddenly it bursts into a puff of smoke leaving behind a small purple stone. I pick up the stone not knowing if it is of any value.
I stop noticing that the sky has started to turn dark deciding that it would be a good time to rest I look around for a good place to sleepbut something catches my eye, a soft orange glow in the distance I start to move towards the light in the distance deciding it to most likely be some sort of settlement walking towards it I start to notice the outline of small wooden houses. I pick up speed running towards the village almost tripping over tree roots in my stupor. Finally arriving at the entrance to the village I am stopped by two average looking young men with swords the one on the left had deep blue eyes with raven black hair while the one on the left had hazenut eyes with dark grey hair.
In my stupor I fail to notice one of the two men trying to talk to me almost crying tears of joy at being able to find another human for the first time after waking. I am shaken from my thoughts when I notice the man waving and clicking his fingers in front of my face, blushing in embarrassment I look away from the man which he notices "Ahem excuse me miss" he says. I smile hearing a familiar language, happy that I should be able to communicate with them I try to speak "H-h-hello" I say stuttering due to how long it has been since I last spoke.
After answering a few question I was allowed into the village, asking if there was anywhere to stay when I was interupted by the rumbling of my stomach, flushed with embarrassment "Missy would you like some food" I heard, turning to look at the speaker I notice he is an old man with short greyed hair and a mustache. I nood in acceptance noticing this the old man leads me into his house, offering me a bowl of what looks like porridge he asks if I want to sleep in the spare room, I accept the offer thanking him for his kindness to which he smiles. Going into the room I lay onto the bed and fall asleep almost immediately not noticing the old man by the door.
