Chapter 2: Chapter 1 - First day of school

Walking leisurely and gaining the attention of people passing by, a quirky couple could be seen chatting with each other.

"Aren't you nervous Oppa?" a beautiful bob-haired girl mentioned.

Her face was quite youthful and brought out an adorable charm. Her skin was white with light blushes on her cheeks.

Adorning her thin and immature figure was a uniform consisting of a shirt and a dark skirt that highlighted her plump legs.

"Mmm? Why do you ask Dayun, do I seem nervous?"

Looking at the adorable girl, the handsome, gray-haired young man walking beside her couldn't help but feel curious at his companion's sudden question.

The boy's face, unlike Dayun's, exuded maturity and tranquility. His beautiful hazel eyes added to his devilish charm along with the attractive smile that now hung on his face.

However, despite wearing a uniform similar to Dahyun's, he was wearing a dark jacket over his shirt, failing to show off his gleaming figure, but despite this, he couldn't help but make his facial features stand out, attracting several dreamy glances from the women who passed by him.

When Dayun saw the boy's smile and noticed the great attention they were receiving, her small face reddened and she couldn't help but reply in a rather low tone.

"I-It's not... I was just asking Ijin-Oppa..."

"Hahahaha, I'm grateful to have a cute sister like you."

At Dahyun's cute, embarrassed expression, the handsome young man, or rather, Ijin, couldn't help but caress her head and let out a light laugh.

"Ah..."

Not being able to suppress the embarrassment that her brother was treating her like a child was causing her, Dahyun could only lower her head so that no one would see her heavily flushed face and continued walking.

As he watched his little sister try to contain her embarrassment, Ijin couldn't help but plaster a smile on his face.

'To think that the little baby who looked down on me like a koala would act this way...'

Not wanting to turn Dahyun into a tomato, Ijin stopped stroking her head and continued on his walk.

Anyone who saw him would think of him as an ordinary student, but Ijin himself knew that he was far from being someone who could be considered normal.

Before this life, he was known by the name of Isaac Moon, a young man who miraculously reincarnated in this world after having died in a tragic accident.

And, in his current life, due to the fate he was unable to change, he ended up repeating the life of the original Ijin.

'It's been two months since I came back... Still, I wonder how the others are doing.'

A reincarnated person, a code, and a mercenary. Yes, his identity was anything but ordinary.

"Oppa, we're here!"

Due to the sudden call, Ijin put aside his own thoughts and turned his gaze to where Dahyun was pointing.

A large campus that welcomed hundreds of people wearing the same uniform as him.

'I should stop thinking about that'

"Hurry up Oppa~, we mustn't be late"

"Yeah, yeah..."

Not wanting to keep his little sister waiting any longer, Ijin walked a little faster towards the next stage of his new life as a high school boy...

Once inside the large building that was in the middle of the large campus, Dahyun calmly explained to Ijin which floor she was on and gave him directions to get to her classroom.

"Remember Oppa, act normal and always show a smile!"

Thinking that his younger sister would take care of him like a child, Ijin's heart filled with a warm feeling.

When his gaze was no longer able to catch Dahyun's figure, Ijin headed to where his classroom was supposed to be.

"Oh my... He's quite handsome."

"You saw his hair, did he dye it? It suits him!"

"Is he going to be an idol?"

The girls had dreamy looks on their faces when they saw him.

"Tch, another pretty face came..."

"I don't see anything special, he looks weak"

"Hey Eun, I think you should cover your girlfriend's eyes"

"Eh? What are you talking about-... Ah!, Misoo!?"

The men couldn't help but give her murderous, resentful, and jealous glances.

"Mmm, classroom 3-2..."

However, Ijin, the cause of it all, didn't pay any attention to any of this and continued his little adventure in search of his classroom.

"Oh! Here it is."

Turning his gaze to the sign above the door, Ijin confirms if the numbering is correct and then proceeds to knock.

He didn't have to wait long as the classroom door opened seconds after knocking.

"Mmm? Are you the new student!?"

"Yes."

"Well, you're the only one missing, come in."

It was a teacher who opened the door. He looked to be in his mid-fifties.

"Thank you."

Not wanting to keep the teacher waiting any longer, Ijin confidently entered the classroom.

"Oh..."

There was a slight commotion, but upon noticing the new presence, complete silence fell over the room and all eyes were fixed on Ijin.

"Ha, look at them, you can tell they're curious, come on kid, introduce yourself"

"Eh? Oh yeah..."

Directing his gaze towards where those who were supposed to be his new companions were, Ijin lets out a light sigh and puts a smile on his face.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Yu Ijin, I'll be under your care from now on, I hope we get along well"

Finishing his greeting, Ijin stares at his companions, but it doesn't seem like there will be any response.

At this, Ijin can only be taken aback and wonders if there was some mistake in his introduction.

"We'll take good care of you!"

"Please go!"

Finally hearing the overlapping voices, he let out a sigh of relief. Though his confusion still prevailed at the hateful glares his male companions gave him...

"Tch, these brats don't know how to behave. Nevermind, just take the empty seat over there and sit down."

Hearing his teacher's direction, Ijin nods and heads to where his seat was supposed to be.

"Mmm?"

But, he stopped in the middle of his walk and looked at one of his classmates.

"Eh!?"

It was an orange-haired boy who, unlike his normal uniform, was wearing a sports sweatshirt. A surprised expression could be seen on his face.

'Right, so this is how Ijin's first day started... I think his name was Lee Jaehyung?'

Recalling the scene of the first day of school in his mind, Ijin simply gave him a slight glance and stepped over the foot that was in the way.

Without even looking back, Ijin walks to his seat.

"H-Hello!"

At the sudden greeting, Ijin turns his head and looks at the person who had greeted him.

"Hi, my name is Park Yeongchan."

A boy with a common appearance and no outstanding features, however, you could sense the friendliness that emanated from him.

"Nice to meet you, Yeongchan, I hope to be in your care."

"Likewise."

After the introduction, Ijin began to arrange his backpack and take out his things. But, he noticed that Yeongchan was slightly approaching him, it seemed that he had something to tell him.

"Hey, I saw you stopped just now, um, it would be best if you avoided Jaehyung."

"Jaehyung?"

Despite already knowing who he was referring to, Ijin acted confused by the sudden name and let Yeongchan continue with what he was saying.

"Yeah, it was the guy who put his foot on you just now, I was able to see him from here..."

Just like in the manwha, he warned Ijin not to approach Jaehyung and Yu Hyunkjin, who was the blonde student sitting behind him. Because of that, a small smile formed on Ijin's face and he wholeheartedly thanked Yeongchan for the warning.

'He seems to be a nice guy'

'He's a nice person...'

They both got a good idea from each other, so after chatting a bit more, they started to pay attention to the teacher.

"So the quadratic of x comes to be equal to..."

Ijin wrote down every single thing the teacher said. He didn't have much difficulty because it was math and it was pretty similar to what he had been taught in his past life and the small classes he had with Lieutenant Kang.

'It's just as I saw it...'

The quietness, the banter between students, the whispers. It was all being picked up by Ijin as he paid attention. It had been a while since he was in such a peaceful state.

'I feel comfortable.'

Due to the accident, he had to suffer six years as a code and two more years as a mercenary until he managed to meet Lieutenant Kang on a mission. It wasn't easy seeing as his memory was cut off but, just like in the original, he managed to survive the 'camp'.

Now that he had finally left that whole world and returned to what was left of his family, warmth covered his heart and he could do nothing but enjoy this peace.

Although he himself knew it was temporary.

Ring*

"Okay, guys, that's all for today, don't forget to review for next class!"

Leaving those last words, the teacher proceeded to leave the classroom, followed by several other students.

"Ijin-nim"

At the sudden call, Ijin stopped packing his things and stared at Yeongchan.

"Do you have time? If so, would you like to go to CC?"

Ijin didn't think much about it. Yeongchan was a good boy, but he didn't want to miss the chance to be able to go home with his sister.

'I'm not a sis-con, I'm just afraid that something bad will happen to Dahyun, that little koala is so cute.'

Having clarified and reinforced his thought, Ijin gave Yeongchan a negative answer. However, he told him to go another time.

Having that last conversation, they both left the room and said goodbye, going their separate ways.

When Ijin was going down the stairs and was about to turn left, something hit his chest.

"Ouch!"

In the midst of his confusion, a groan of pain came from the ground. Looking down, Ijin found a beautiful girl lying on the ground.

The girl had black hair tied into a ponytail. Her milky white skin was void of any imperfections.

Her figure was also somewhat outstanding as both her butt and breasts stood out a lot.

What caught Ijin's attention the most, though, were the girl's plump, clean legs.

"Ugh! That hurt so much..."

Only when the girl's soft voice reached his ears was Ijin able to wake up from his trance.

"Ah! Sorry, I didn't mean to make you fall."

Ijin reached out his hand to the beautiful girl, who was massaging her butt due to the hard fall she suffered.

"No, it's okay, I was the one who ran like crazy hehe~"

While Ijin was helping the girl up, the latter was brushing off the dust left on her uniform from the fall. Seeing that there was no longer any problem, she slightly adjusted her skirt and shirt.

"That's it~!"

The girl's smile was quite charming and bright, Ijin even thought that, even though it wasn't night yet, he was watching the descent of a star...

Noticing that he might fall into a trance again, Ijin turns his gaze towards one of the windows, but his eyes widen comically when he sees the figure of someone walking towards the exit alone.

'Dahyun!'

Thinking about the time that had passed since his conversation with Yeongchan until the collision with the mysterious girl, Ijin quickly ran off, but not before leaving an apology for the accident.

"Sorry, I'm in a hurry right now. I'm really sorry about the collision, I'll treat you next time we meet!"

Leaving those parting words, Ijin ran with all his might to catch up with Dahyun.

"Ah! She ran away..."

'I couldn't get a good look at her face'

When Ijin's figure disappeared from the scene, the mysterious beauty stared intently at the hallway he disappeared down.

A strange feeling of nostalgia swirled in her chest. She felt familiar with that boy, although she wasn't able to get a good look at him due to his quick escape.

"He's a weird guy hehe~"

After thinking about it for a bit, she simply saw Ijin as someone funny.

"Mmm?, this is..."

But, as she turned to continue on her way, she found an object lying on the ground. It was a student card.

'Could it be the guy who ran off?'

Having looked around to make sure no one else was there, she bends down and carefully picks up the card.

[Student ID]

Name: Yu Ijin

Age: 18 years old

Classroom: 2-3

The girl read the information in a low voice, but she focused more on the name on the card.

"Yu Ijin... I feel like I know him from somewhere."

That name seemed familiar, as if it were something from a long time ago. However, no matter how hard he tried to search his memory, nothing came up.

"Ah! It's getting late!"

When she looked towards the window, she saw that the sun was already setting so she quickly put Ijin's card in her pocket and headed towards where her friend was waiting.

"What took you so long!?"

"Hehe~, sorry, I had a little accident"

"Ha... I'm tired of waiting so long..."

"Ugh! It's okay, I'll buy you something on the way."

"That's our Ahrin~"

Having lost the conversation, Ahrin and her friend headed towards a street restaurant. It seemed like she had already forgotten about the 'Yu Ijin' topic.

But what neither she nor Ijin knew was that this little encounter would mark the beginning of several others and, above all, a much bigger change than Ijin expected...
