Chapter 1: Life Of Liana
Liana Rose had grown up in a world of modest means, but her life was rich in love and laughter. She lived with her grandmother, Grace, in a small apartment filled with the warmth of baked goods and the comfort of worn armchairs. The walls were adorned with family photos and colorful quilts, each one telling a story of its own. Liana's mother had passed away when she was just a baby, and Grace had raised her with a fierce devotion.
Liana's days were spent working at the local bakery, her hands moving deftly as she crafted intricate pastries and bread. She loved the feel of flour beneath her fingers and the sweet scent of sugar in the air. The bakery was a gathering place for the townspeople, and Liana enjoyed hearing their stories and sharing in their joys and sorrows. She was especially fond of the elderly customers, who would often share tales of their youth and the history of the town.
After a long day at the bakery, Liana would return home to help Grace with her sewing business. They would work together in the small sewing room, their fingers moving in tandem as they stitched together beautiful garments. Grace had taught Liana everything she knew, from the perfect stitch to the art of creating a flawless hem. Liana loved watching a piece come together, the fabric transforming into a work of art.
As the evening drew to a close, Liana and Grace would sit down to a simple but delicious meal, often accompanied by a game of cards or a good book. They lived a quiet life, but it was one filled with purpose and joy.
As Liana drifted off to sleep that night, her mind was filled with thoughts of the next day's bread deliveries and the new dress she was making for the town's summer festival. She had no idea that a world beyond her wildest dreams was about to come crashing into her quiet existence, threatening to upend everything she held dear.
The sound of the doorbell pierced the night air, and Liana's heart skipped a beat. She wasn't expecting anyone, and the late hour made her wonder who it could be. She threw on a robe and made her way to the door, her grandmother's voice calling out from the bedroom.
"Liana, dear, be careful!"
Liana's hand hesitated on the doorknob, but she finally opened it to find a sleek black car parked outside, and a suited driver standing on her porch, holding a small box. Her heart raced as she wondered what this unexpected visit could mean.
The driver's eyes locked onto hers, and he spoke in a formal tone, "Miss Liana, I have a message from Mr. Adrien, son of CEO Henri Laurent. He requests your presence at the Laurent Estate this evening, at 8 pm."
Liana's confusion deepened as the driver handed her the box. Inside, a small note read:
"Dear Liana,
I require your presence at the Laurent Estate this evening. Come alone.
Yours,
Adrien Laurent"
Liana's mind raced as she stared at the note. What could Adrien Laurent, the notorious rich kid, want with her? She had never even met him before. The Laurents were a powerful family, known for their wealth and influence. Liana's simple life was far removed from their world of luxury and privilege.
With a sense of trepidation, Liana agreed to go, her heart pounding in her chest. Little did she know, her life was about to take a drastic turn, one that would lead her down a path of luxury, power, and dark secrets...
