Chapter 44: Commentaries

Leigh already had an idea about the hostile gazes she was going to get today. As if it was given, she walked inside the classroom with her eyes constantly avoiding other gazes while looking for an empty seat. While there were a few seats empty, students kept their bags over it to shoo her away. 

She felt embarrassed but her aim kept her going and finally the only seat whom no one dare to touch was next to Ara Calist. She was someone whom others dared not offend. 

But at least she was the only one who didn't care when Leigh sat next to her. 

"Leigh, you still got the guts to come back? I thought you would be running away with your tails," a girl with dark and flawless skin snickered. She was sitting next to Cynthi who was giggling and vibing with others. 

Leigh looked behind to see the person mocking her and let out a sigh. She didn't respond in anyway and just took out her book to get busy into.
