Synopsis
Raul Durand dies and is reborn as Isaac Brenton, 2nd oldest of a peasant family in a fantasy world, and is forced to fight in a war as a foot soldier.

Knowing he couldn't just live relying on the memories of his past life, Isaac becomes a mercenary for his family and gets caught up in the middle of a war as a foot soldier.
With nothing but his skills and experience as a knight, Isaac fights and struggles every day, hoping for a brighter future ahead.

The story is incredible. It looks like the author is perhaps having a bit of writers block and slowing down, but I ask that you push through it. This is really a very good novel, and sincerely, if it were paperback, I'd buy it with no hesitation and even mention it to friends, I've put it in one of my lists to help give it more light. The writing quality is a full 5 stars, I don't remember seeing any typos or grammar mistakes at the moment. The story progresses at a perfect pace, in my opinion, of course. The character design is top tier, so a full 5 stars from me. I can imagine each character the way they are portrayed with little to no effort. As I said, the author has been slowing down (for whatever reason), so updating stability is not that great. World background is stable, and I can imagine it relatively easily. Now, despite the update speed, I believe you should give the novel a chance. Or tune in every now and then to check on its progress. It is genuinely a hidden gem, and I am very happy that I found it.
Author's grasp on visceral combat is amazing. I hope to see more chapters! Great read for someone who wants a medieval warfare novel with magic interspersed!
