Chapter 236: Patience, Babe

Her eyes softened, but with the last thread of her reasoning she asked. "What does that mean, Jace?"

She needed to be sure where this would lead. How long is the way he spoke about?

"All the way means all the way, Grace. I'm not talking about a fling. What I mean is something lasting, enduring and true. Are you ready for that?"

Grace couldn't believe what she had just heard. Was he indirectly proposing to her? Or was there another meaning?

Seeing the unbelief in her eyes, Jace decided to give her more time to come to terms with his proposal. 

His smile was tender as he kissed her again, slower this time as if he was savoring the moment.

Grace was still trying to make sense of his words… to ask him what he meant by lasting and enduring. Was he talking about marriage? 

"Jace," Grace managed to call out, but it sounded like a seductive moan, driving Jace more crazy.
