Chapter 6: Enlightenment
When the king said we can learn Magic, I got excited, my heart started to beat real fast.
"But first, for you to learn magic, we will confirm first how high your Magic and your Strength, after getting Enlighten you heroes, so all of you please close you eyes, while our priest Ms. Ava will pray to the goddess and tell her to enlighten you all, now close your eyes, " the king said to us.
Then we all closed our eyes as the priest started praying, but the people behind me are talking when their eyes are closed like, "Ugh, at least it's not blinding anymore, "said by Tsukiko-san and, "Oooh, I can't wait to see what my status in like, I hope my level is high," the geeks were the most excited.
As we listen to the priest chant, which I find a little annoying, I started to feel different, like my body started to feel lighter, and I feel a lot more energetic, but I stayed calm.
When her chant finally stopped, the king said, "You can now open your eyes."
When I opened my eyes it's the first time that my sight became clear, it so clear, it almost like it's in 4k, looks like my classmates are having the same reaction.

"Now that you all blessing of the goddess and received enlightenment, you can now check your levels and strength, and say your stats one by one just say "STATUS," the king said to us.
So we have to receive enlightenment first, it was stupid of me attempting it 30 minutes ago, *////*, whatever, I already received enlightenment so what happened earlier doesn't matter anymore.

I'd say this is an average status, but what's with the 200% bonus? Does it mean I get double the EXP?
Also the Skill: Appraisal, what did I to receive this kind of skill? But it's kinda convenient, I'll be able to appraise the items I check to see if their worth something or not, and I can check everyone's Statuses as well, pretty useful.
"Now that you have seen your status time for you to tell us your current status, so we can put it in a record so we can see how much you'll improve in your training, now who would like to go first?" the king asked us.
Someone raised their hand and it was Sunako-kun, he walked all the way to the front and said, "Pleasure to meet you Your Highness! I will now tell you what my status is!" he said.

Oh no, he's about to embarrass himself.

"Well you better hurry, because your friends are waiting for you."

The rest of us already know why he's stalling, but we kept silent.

All of us looked back and it was Tsukiko-san, way too straight forward.
"What? Oh come on, you guys were also thinking of it too!"

When he said his bonus skill, the girls immediately assumed that he will make something inappropriate out of it, I can tell by their reactions.
"Uh...young man, did you check your status before hand, when you volunteered to go first...?" the king asked Sunako-kun.
"Uh...umm...actually I didn't check it first, I thought that it would at least be an average status, but I didn't think it would be below average," he responded, with a tear in his eyes.
Dude thinks he's in an anime scenario right now.
The king looked at him with a bit of pity and disappointment, but tried to hide it.
Then the king said, "...*Ahem* Alright then, now that the priest has already put the young man's status on the Book of Fame and it will be there until we re-recorded it after your training," said by the king.
When Sunako-kun was finished saying his status, he was so embarrassed that he went to the back when he was finished saying his status.
His status will be recorded until he renews it, I can see the shock and disappointment look on his face, all the people in the corner were holding back their laughter, including my classmates.
After hearing their laughter Sunako-kun huddled up in a corner of the door and started tearing up.
Then Natsuki-san came up to him and said to him, "Dn't worry Sunako-kun, I'm sure you'll improve, so hang in there," she said with a big smile on her face and gave him a thumbs up.
He was delighted of what he heard and called her, "An angel," out loud.
She got flustered and ran to join with the others.
When she was running to go to the front, we made eye contact and gave me a thumbs up as well.
As I watch her leave, I said to myself, "Is her status the same as all of us or is it higher? I'm actually curious.
"The next person to tell their status can go next," a person with a mustache said to us.
The next person was Tsukiko-san, as she walks to the front she said, "Hah...let's just get this over with, I'll show you a what a real status looks like, STATUS."

But the way I look at her she looks proud and relieved, so I guess she didn't check her status in advance as well huh...
"We have a promising one, and I hope the next one is too," the king said.
It sounded like the first one wasn't promising,,,
I can see Sunako-kun tearing up again...
So, the next one is Kurokawa, I hope his status is not higher than mine,,,
"Heh, watch closely everyone to my status, I haven't looked at it yet as well, but I'm sure it's promising to you old man," he stated.
"How dare you call His Highness-"
The king allowed it and said, "He is quite confident so we might as well find out, right?"

So there is a 5% chance of receiving a Light Attribute, so does that my Dark Attribute applies to that as well? or are the chances of getting a Dark Attribute lower?
Because I have so many Dark Attribute Skills that are skill Locked, that I'm starting to think I should hide it.
Yeah, when it's my turn I won't mention my Dark Attribute.
As I ask more questions about them, the next person stepped in, it was Shimizu-san.
"I as well haven't checked mine, so I'm quite excited to see how high and promising my status will be," she said.

He's that happy huh, is a healer that rare? Come to think of it, I only see three of those that wear the same outfit as the priest Ms. Ava is wearing, so it is rare.
"Next one please," the king requested.
