Chapter 17: That bastard...
As we were looking for the book, Joy-san whispered to me, "You two seem pretty close, Noel I mean..."
"Hm? Oh, that? Yeah, I guess so, I never realized it after you said that..." I responded.
"Huh? You just realized?"
"Well, yeah... I don't know, for some reason, I feel comfortable talking to her, maybe it's because, she remind me of my sister back at our world, the two of them have the same vibe, that's probably why, I feel comfortable around her..."
"Hee... Oh, I found it, here you go Sir. Sie."
"Oh great! Also, can you remove the Sir part, just call me Sie, that will be great.."
"B-But... A-Alright, then Sie, can I ask you why did you want to read this book?"
"Ah, because, there's something I want to test out using Earth Magic, so I want to study it so I can test it out."
"Ooh, ok then, here you go, I hope you figure out what you want to test out," she said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, I will, thanks," I responded.
After I said that, Joy-san said to me, "Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, I already gathered the "items" you asked me to, their in my room, I'll give them to you later."
"Ah, that's right, you can just leave them by the door later, you don't have to knock," I responded.
"O-Oh... ok..."
Did she get upset, because I told her to just leave it by the door? Is it because, she doesn't get to talk to me when she arrives to my room?
So I said, "W-Well, why don't we go back now, Noel is probably waiting for us..."
"Y-Yeah, we should..." Joy-san responded.
As we were walking back, the two of us saw Noel yelling at someone, so we ran to go to her and what we saw was her screaming at one of Yokoshima's buddies and she was screaming, "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"
We were wondering what was going on, Noel saw us and ran to to us and hid behind me, so I whispered to her, "Hey, what's going on?"
Then she whispered also, "One of them touched my butt, as I was facing away to them."
"Why were you even facing away to them?" I whispered.
"They were staring at me so much and it made me uncomfortable, so I faced away and I heard them approaching and touched my butt, that's why I yelled, sorry by the way Joy..."
"N-No, it's alright," Joy-san responded.
As the three of us were talking one of them said, "I only did it, because she was purposely showing us her ass, so one of us has to do it, right guys?"
"Yeah, totally," Yokoshima and his other friend said.
What they said really annoyed me, so I talked to them and said, "Hey, look guys, what you just did is just not right, and it really made her uncomfortable, so can you just apologize to her and stop being such a creep?" I said with a smile on my face.
When they heard the last part of what I said, their expressions changed except Yokoshima, and they responded saying, "Hey, you're being too far, you don't have to call us creeps."
After they said that, I wanted to say something, but Noel interrupted me and said, " But you are, you just touched my butt without consent and you're telling us that you're not creeps? What a load of bullshit."
"N-Noel, y-you don't have to go that far and use inappropriate words," Joy-san said to Noel.
"Well, I had to, to prove my point," Noel responded.
After she said that, Yokoshima then spoke and said, "Now, now you two, calm down, I'll handle this."
He started approaching me thinking he'll talk to me, but he walked passed me, completely ignoring me and went up to Noel said to her, "I completely apologize to Ms. Noel, my friend didn't behave well, he's a virgin, so I hope you understand..."
Why do you need to mention that he's a virgin? That's completely unnecessary.. but after he said that, Noel was silent for a moment, then all of a sudden, she slapped him, and when she slapped him, he had a confused look on his face.
Me and Joy-san were shock and asked her, "Hey, why did you slap him?!"
"Of course, you wouldn't know," she responded.
"W-What do you mean by that?" I said.
"He was about to cast a mind controlling skill on me, he probably thought, that I was an easy target, so he used his skill on me."
After I heard what she said, I looked at Yokoshima as he stand up, and he said, "Heh, I didn't think that you would resist it, you're stronger than I thought you were."
So, I did guessed it, Noel is strong enough to resist a mind controlling skill of a Hero, I'm just glad she didn't beat me up yet, when I teased her all the time.
After he said that, I said to him, "Hey, what the hell was that?! You were trying to use your skill against her? That's fucked up dude, also what if she isn't strong and your mind control skill worked, what were you going to do?" I said that, while already knowing what he's going to do.
He smirked and said, "What am I going to do? Of course, make her my sex slave~"
I knew it, what did I expect for a playboy like him...?
When he said that, I looked at Joy-san and Noel, when I looked at their face, their face can tell how disgusted they are, because the way he said, is like he said it like a sadist, it's so creepy...
I looked at his friends as well and they were completely ignoring me, they were staring at the two of them, from up and down, especially their chest, butt, and crotch area. Creep... don't tell me, the reason they attempted this on Noel, is it because they did it on the other maids as well?! I wanna ask them, but I'm still not sure, if Noel is their first target...
So I straightforwardly asked Yokoshima, "Is she your first target?"
When he heard my question, he smirked and said, "What do you mean by that~?"
"You know what I mean."
After I said that, Noel whispered to me, "Hey, what are you talking about? Me? First target?"
After she asked that, I looked at Joy-san, who probably already know what I'm talking about, nodded at me. She's probably wants me to tell Noel, that she's not their only victim.. but I want to know first, and I want to try something.
"HEY! What are you talking about there?! You're too close to them, you dumbass!" said by one of Yokoshima's perverted buddies.
After he said that, I looked at Joy-san, and she was covering her ears and gave me a thumbs up, so I said, "Joy-san, you should probably leave first, because I feel like there will be a lot of shouting."
One them said, "Heh, who do you think you are? Telling someone what to do. Ms. Joy was it? Don't listen to him, you can stay here as much as you like, besides, you're the librarian here, right? We're still reading, and I want to ask you something, regarding this book I'm reading. Hehehehe."
He's not even trying to hide that he has bad intentions..
After he said that, Joy-san completely ignoring him said to me, "I understand, I will return to my room, and rest for a while, it's my break time anyway, so I'll be returning to my room, see you later, Sie, Noel."
After she said that, she slowly closed the door and left.
I looked at the person who wanted her to stay, gets really embarrassed, and angry, looked at me and yelled, "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?! YOU PROBABLY USE MIND CONTROL ON HER TOO!! DOLION, LET'S PUNISH THAT GUY, FOR INTERRUPTING OUR PLAN!!!"
...He just revealed what their plan is... I can't tell if this guy is dumb or stupid... or maybe both.
After realizing what he said, he covered his mouth and looked at Yokoshima and said, "H-Hey, Dolion, I-I didn't mean to reveal our plan... i-it was an accident!"
He just admitted that that was their plan... yep, this guys both... he was so desperate that he revealed their plan in a heart beat.
Yokoshima looked at him as he smiles, and said to him, "No worries, it's not a big deal."
Then he leaned in his ear and said, "But, I will have to talk to you in private later, is that alright with you?"
After he said that, his friend's face turned pale and responded, "Y-Yeah..."
"Wonderful, well then everyone, if you will excuse us," Yokoshima said as he was walking by us.
I stopped him and said, "Wait, you haven't answered my question yet."
He stopped and turned around and said to me with an annoyed look on his face, "Tch, yeah, you're right, she is my first target, you happy now?" and they left.
After they left, I let out a sigh of relief, and Noel asked me, "Hey, what were talking about? First target? Can you start explaining?!"
"O-Oh right, I forgot, well you see..."
After I finished explaining to her, she got angry and screamed, "THAT BASTARD!!"
I knew this would be your reaction, that why I was hesitant on telling you...
"HOW DARE HE ATTEMPT TO MIND CONTROL THE OTHER MAIDS!! I'LL MAKE HIM PAY!!"
"Enough Noel, aren't you glad you were the first target? His skill didn't even work on you, aren't you glad you stopped him, so that he doesn't attempt to mind control the other maids?"
"A-Ah, you're right... I just got frustrated, so I started screaming... but what's up with the heroes?! All of them are just asshole! Well... except that Blonde guy, who chose a Greatsword, and the girl that can wield all kinds of weapons, but I don't remember their name.."
"Ah, you mean, Syouma-san, and Natsuki-san?"
"Oh, yeah, them, those two are the only ones who were serious about the situation..."
"...Oi, what about me?"

What is that suppose to mean? I take our situation seriously, how did you forget that?
When we were talking, Joy-san came back and asked us, "W-What happened? I saw them leave the room, and one of them looked like they were mad and annoyed.. did something happened?"
"O-Oh, nothing happened, but who was the one looking annoyed? Did you see who it was?" I asked.
"I-It was the person who tried to control Noel's mind, he looked really annoyed, so I waited for them to leave, so I took a long time to come back.."
Yokoshima? HIm? Looking annoyed? Now that you mention it, that was the first time I saw Yokoshima looked pissed, even back to our world, he never showed that he's pissed or even showing that he's mad. Was I the reason, that he was pissed?
"A-Anyway, the sun is setting, so you two should go back to your rooms," Joy-san said to us.
"Oh, the sun is setting? I didn't notice. Anyway, yeah we should go back to our rooms and get some rest, a lot has happened, so we should head back, right Noel?" I said.
"Yeah, you said it, I'm still pissed at them for trying to make me their slave, I wanna report it to His Highness, but it will probably ruin our relationship of the heroes, so I'll keep it to myself for now." Noel responded.
Yes, please keep it, I don't want to get executed,,,
When Noel first left the room, Joy-san whispered my name and said, "S-Sie, s-see you at n-night," she said while her face is bright red.
I was caught off guard and responded, "y-Yeah," my voice cracked.
"But wait, are you not leaving yet?" I asked.
"O-Oh, I have to return the books they were reading to their shelves," Joy-san responded.
"Oh, I can help if you want."
"Thank you, but I can do it myself, I've been doing this since I became the Librarian, so you don't have to worry,,"
"O-Oh, ok then, see you later then."
"Y-Yes, see you later."
Then I exited the room.
Phew, I'm glad she didn't notice, I was trying so hard to hide this book, did she noticed and just let me? Because she knows that I will return it?
Well, if she did, then I will make great use of it.
I then returned to my room.
