Chapter 10: "Strategizing"
Everyone was looking at me with a shock look on their face, because of the weapon I chose was the most dangerous weapon in our world, A Gun, when I finished my cringe speech, I went back to join the others and just as when I get close to the others, they start to back away.
I can't blame them, this is a weapon that everyone from the modern era would be afraid of, so I said, "Don't worry everyone it's not even loaded," I said as I remove the magazine from the gun.
After everyone saw that it's empty, they checked it from far away and when they saw that it wasn't loaded they started to ease up, but they still avoided me.
The king then said, "Alright, now that everyone has picked their weapons, all of you can just sit at the corner, until the people that will be teaching you arrives."
We all sat in the corner next to each said of the door and all of them were at the left side, while me alone at the right side, some of them were at the right side before, but when I decided to sit at the right, they moved over to the left side, it's not like I'll shoot them, it's not even loaded, why are they still afraid?
They all avoided me out of caution, which I understand given that I have a lethal weapon on my waist, except but one didn't.
Natsuki-san approached me and asked me, "Can I sit next to you?"
I responded, "Uh...umm...sure, yeah, I don't mind," I said confused.
She then sat next to me, the others on the other side were confused as to why she is on the others side as them, Tsukiko-san was getting annoyed because she thought she's being an attention seeker again, and Syouma-san was surprised that she went to the other side to sit next to me, but I think she just wants to comfort me, which is nice as her to do.
She then asked me, "So uh...I just wanna ask you, why did you picked a Gun to be your weapon? When you know it was gonna scare our classmates."
She looked at me with serious look on her face, when I looked at her eyes, it was like I'm looking at the ocean, because oh how blue her eyes was, I lost focus and shook my head and responded, "Oh uh...because a Gun is the only weapon I'm can adapt in and it's a weapon that is easy to learn, and it's the only weapon I wield, because any kind of weapon will be too hard for me to wield and master, that's why I chose a Gun."
"Heh~ so that's the reason, hehehe you are more talkative when we were outside an hour ago, I thought you were ignoring me when we went in," she said.
"H-Haha...that wasn't on purpose, I was just trying not to get in your way," I responded.
As we were talking I noticed a menacing aura on the other side, and it was our classmates staring at us with an ominous look on their face.
Then I asked Natsuki-san, "Uh...why did you sat next to me and not on the other side like the others?"
After asking a question, I looked at her and her face was red and asked her, "What's wrong? Your face is turning red."
When I said that she covered her face and told me, "*\\\\* Uh...this is...umm...well, I'm gonna join with the rest and talk about our strategies, I'll tell them to you later, Ok? Alright then see you later~~"
She left to join the others, when I didn't even get to say anything, I just asked her what was wrong and she left...
Was she...nah there's no way.
As they were talking, while the other guys were still looking at me, I looked at my status and realized I didn't say the the notification and my profession and the notification says, "New Notification: Weapon has been chosen, your profession is "Weapon Engineer", you also get a bonus Skill: System Design and Mechanical Knowledge."
It also gave me Skills?! What skills are these?
{System Design: The user is able to create weapons using a simulated system, but material are needed to create the weapon, 100 MP required per creation}
{Mechanical Knowledge: The ability to understand how mechanical equipment and tools work, and to apply that knowledge in practical situations, but only for 5 minutes. 80 MP required}
I didn't know you can get an extra skills when you get a profession!
Does that mean everyone got an extra skill as well? Why didn't they mention it?
Should I ask them? No, that would mean I'm admitting that I got an extra skill.
Hmm...maybe I'm just overthinking it.
When I looked at the other side where my classmates are, they were gathered in circles, I guess they are strategizing, I want to join them, but with the guys still staring at me, I decided not to, but someone called out my name.
"Hey you, wanna join our strategizing?"
I looked over and it was Daizuru-kun, he asked me if I could join the others while they strategize, and I responded, "Will that be okay? Because some of them don't really want me to join."
"It's alright, their just them being them, also you looked like you were strategizing yourself, because your face looked like you were in deep thought so I thought that you were strategizing as well."
Huh? That was just me thinking. Does my face have a serious look to them when think too deeply? I didn't realize that.
Then I responded, "If you're fine with me, then sure I can join."
"Wonderful! The more the merrier right?"
Was he always this energetic, because back then he was just the geeky guy, who talks to his other geeky friends, did us getting transported here made him excited somehow? I'm sure of it, I'll just play along.
We then went over to the rest of the class and joined them, as I was walking, the guys that were staring at me were still staring at me, but with a more vicious look on their faces.
Some of them were looking at me with caution, I understand why, but I already said and showed that it's not even loaded, why are they so afraid of a unloaded weapon?
When the two of us finally arrived at where Natsuki-san is and the others, Natsuki-san welcomed me and said, "Welcome Ryu-kun, so happy you can join us in our strategy meeting, you can just sit down wherever you like."
I sat down where I was standing and looked over to my left, sitting right next to me is Tsukiko-san, I didn't noticed that she was there and now I feel awkward...
I looked at her for a bit and she was looking at me as well and said, "Hm? What are you looking at huh?"
"oH nothing," my voice cracked.
Then Syouma-san said to her, "Tsukiko, leave him alone, remember we need more people so we can work together, so we can survive in this world, am I clear?"
"F-Fine, whatever, I do as you say," she responded.
"A-Alright then, why don't we go through our whole strategy, so Ryu-kun will know what to do, is anybody ok with that?" Natsuki-san asked the group.
"Is anyone fine with it?" Syouma-san also asked them.
Everyone turned to me first and looked at me and then they turned away facing Syouma-san and they nodded.
Well, at least I still fit in the group, even though I didn't talked to them for a whole 2 months back at our world, I gotta thank leader over there, and Natsuki-san of course.
But I can still feel there eyes on me, whatever I don't care anymore.
"Let's start the strategy, first-" I raised my hand and interrupted him, so I asked him, "Uh, what is this strategy about anyway? Like, training wise or about fighting?"
Everyone looked at me and realized as well, why are we having a strategy meeting where we don't even know what's out there yet, hell we haven't even gone outside yet and we are already strategizing about what we should do?
Everyone looked at Syouma-san and one of them asked him, "Yeah, Syouma-san what's this strategy meeting about?"
Syouma-san stayed quiet for a moment and finally responded, "Actually, this strategy is actually just to know everyone's weapons up close, so we can help each other, and figure out how to wield our weapons."
Fair enough reason, but that doesn't mean you have to lie about it, you could've just said so and everyone will agree either way.
Natsuki-san then said, "Well, it's a fair reason, but you don't have to lie to them, you could've said so and everyone will understand, right everyone?"
She just said what I was thinking, but she's right though.
I looked at everyone and they all nodded and it left Syouma-san speechless, and said to everyone, "Everyone forgive for lying to you all, let me make it up to you guys by helping you all with your training so if you don't understand something about the training just come to me and I'll help you with any way I can, how's that?"
Everyone was surprised by his offer and Natsuki-san asked him, "Uh, Syouma-san isn't that a bit much, what about your own training? How will you be able to train but at the same time help them with their training?"
Syouma-san responded, "It's alright Natsuki-san, don't worry about me, worry about your own, I proposed it so please let me make it up to them."
"...Ok then, if you say so, but please take care of yourself as well," Natsuki-san said.
Syouma-san was flustered blushing and said, "*/////* Y-Yeah, I will, I appreciate you for worrying about me."
"*///* No problem, just be careful," Natsuki-san responded.
Everyone was feeling that there is something between them and gave them a smirk and the two of them were embarrassed and the two of them said, "I-It's not what it looks like."
"We didn't say anything you two," one from the group said.

As I watch them being flirty, I looked over my left and Tsukiko-san next to me was getting frustrated from both of them and left to go to the other side where I was before.
I followed her and she said, "What do you want? If you're here comfort me forget it, go away."
I can see tears running down her face, is Syouma-san that special to her? I always thought that Syouma-san and Natsuki-san are a good pair, but as partners not as lovers.
"Don't get the wrong idea, I just went back to where I was before, I got peer pressured so I went there, and now that their distracted they don't even know me and you left," I responded as I sit next to her.
After I said that, she looked at me with a judgement look on her face and said, "You, were you this talkative? You didn't even talk to us after your introduction, because you just ask the teachers instead of that bitch over there."
Well she's right, I just asked the teacher if I want to ask something, I can't think of an excuse, so I responded, "Well...true," I can't think of an excuse!
"You're weird you know that," she said.
"I'll take that as a compliment," I responded.
"Hehe, what that mean?"
This is the first time I see her smile and laugh, the only expression I see from her was this cold look she gives to everyone she made eye contact with, so seeing her smile like that, makes her look like a normal girl,
"...Hm? What are you looking at?" she asked.
"...Oh it nothing...anyway, can I ask you a question?" I asked.
"...What is it? if it's something gross, I'm leaving," she responded.
"How did you end up liking Syouma-san? It looks like whenever he's with Natsuki-san even before this you get really irritated, their just helping each other a lot, but what happened just now was really weird."
"I don't know why you're so attached to him so much, he's not even looking your way and you still think you got a chance? Honestly, I think Natsuki-san and him are the perfect match, because of how similar they are, you never had a chance to begin with."
After I said that Tsukiko-san said, "Shut up..." while tearing up, "what do you know about him? You're just a transfer, you don't know anything about him, of how he always helps anyone in need even outside of school, even though he gains nothing out of it, he still does the right thing, that why I fell in love with him, so stop insulting him or I will beat the shit out of you."
She looked at me and I said, "You finally admit it."
She was confused for a moment and realized that she admitted that she likes him.
Then she punched me in the stomach and left to join the others.
Well, I deserve that, I forced her to confess, so I'll take that as my punishment.
When the pain was going away, I started thinking what I should do to get bullets for the Gun, a Gun is useless without bullets, so I started thinking of a way to make them.
So I pulled out my small notebook I use to take notes at school, but I don't think I use it for that purpose anymore, and I started writing down everything I need to make bullets.

Little did I know that an hour already passed, because I was so focused on finding a way to make bullets, I lost track of time.
The king called us and said to us, "Heroes, bring everything you need, because we are going outside, your teachers have arrived at the training field outside, so why don't we greet them, of course bring your weapons, so that your teacher will know who to teach, alright are you guy ready?"
Everyone looked at each other, then looked at Syouma-san, he nodded at them and faced the king and said, "Yes, Your Highness, we are ready!"
"Wonderful, now let's go greet your teachers," the king responded.
It's not like I gonna need a teacher, but I'm curious how strong their are, that the king recognize them as Warriors, I'm very curious. *smirk*
