Chapter 16: IN THE PENTHOUSE

      I had mixed feelings being back into the penthouse. Why were we here? He was so Hellbent on me leaving shadowbrook, so why are we here? I looked at him and he was seething in anger, he was really trying to hold back himself. I haven't seen him this angry before and for some reasons a part of me is scared he'll do something crazy. I mean he's a mafia god, so he can be ruthless, he already slapped me earlier on, what are the odds of him not doing something even more crazy? He turned to look at me, his gaze meeting mine.

"Cassandra," he called out, his voice loud and authoritative.

I watched him waiting for his next words.

"Don't try to get on my nerves, don't even think about it," he said, his voice laced in anger and frustration. The aura in the room has changed by now.
