I was lost for words after hearing what Anthony's mom just said. I couldn't even start to imagine what she went through and then the inner conflict that would be going through Anthony right now. He stormed out of the restaurant before I could even stop him. His childhood must have been so complicated. I could imagine his father telling him over and over how his mom never loved him, just so his father could make him a strong Mafia. I felt his pain deep down in my heart. I remained seated in the restaurant with his mom, confused on what to do. If I should either go and comfort him or just let him have his space and process all of his thoughts. After a while of pondering, I stood up from the chair. He needs me right now, he needs comfort. I was about to leave when Anthony's mom held my wrist, stopping me from leaving.
