Chapter 33: Zombies 3

*Ulsan, South Korea, Rock the Casbah plays in the BGM Player*

Its has been a few weeks since we split up. It was getting annoying herding the surviving humans. Not only were the true faces of people coming out, but the more violent people were being selected into positions of leadership. Basically all society is back in the middle ages. The few cops we met were next to useless.

They could fight but had limited ammunition. I kind of felt bad for them, so I used Alchemy to make more ammunition for them.

The Yakuza on the other hand, had their shit on lock. More often than not, the cops and yaks would work together to survive. If not, usually the poor cop died and got robbed. The yaks had all the food, drugs and guns. Sticking with them usually meant you would survive.

The JSDF was underfunded and underequipped. They will more than likely have their own holdouts. In a few years, if there are survivors, there will be a clash to establish the new status quo. Not just in Japan, but worldwide.

Yes we discovered the zombie clusterfuck is global. The Americans (rednecks), unsurprisingly were the first to fight back. The number of guns in the country sure worked out well for them, to a point. Whoever unleashed the plague released more of it in the Americas. And like every virus, the thing has mutated. The satellite radio only stated figures for New York, Las Angeles, and San Francisco. Huston was pretty fucked up, just the rioting had screwed over the Texans, it was unreal. Chicago, my hometown, wasn't much better.

Similar reports were coming in from all over.

Large cities were fucked, and small towns were fucked because they couldn't get supplies from the large cities. Depending on the location and demographics, a small town/village could hold out for a few months, a few years if there were hunters in the community. But society would devolve in weeks, and going back to the way things were before, forget it.

Capital cities were in shambles. Washington D.C. was effectively a ghost town. There was complete silence from the American government, I suspect it was one of their fuck ups that caused this. London, England was worse off then during the blitz. New Delhi, was better of getting nuked at this point. But there was no one left to give the orders. The only way to describe this was SNAFU, Situation Normal All Fucked Up.

The world was basically a target rich environment. And every moving thing was a target. Those who thought that humanity would put aside it's differences in times of great strife, were quite obviously wrong. Those waiting for a hero, well you're going to die disappointed.

I went back to Busan after we secured the Kanazawa and Toyama peninsula. There was fuck all to do for the lot of us. Genryusai and Bang stayed in Japan. Madara went North into the disputed islands and Russia. Whitebeard took the yacht South to Australia. Master Roshi went off to Madagascar along with Master Makarov. Odin and Zeno left for Norway and Poland respectively. Kind of sucks that no one wanted to join me, but it's alright, they wouldn't have approved of my methods, much.

I setup an overwatch position in downtown Ulsan, by the factory and bridge. That way, I can simply move when the situation gets too dire. I simply shooting at anything that moves. I've advised the residents to stay inside. The herd mentality of the zombies just keeps attracting them to my general area. The only annoying thing about them is that they don't dissipate after they 'die'.

I got my Armoury and a jet bike. I'm milking them for everything I can get out of them. The drones are working overtime in the Search and Destroy operation I outlined for them. I need infrastructure sabotaged. Any military vehicles will be tagged for me to store in my INVENTORY later, no hits so far. This is why I love East Asia, everything is old American crap. Tanks, planes, ship based weapons, small arms, ordnance, there is so much to just pick up if the need arises. I am going to continue my complete decimation of all moving things all the way to the Chinese/Russian border, in North Korea.

Wait, I might need to create a target rich environment, and less resistance up North. Using Alchemy I create a few pressurized darts, like those used for tranquilizers. And fill them up with infected blood. I stop after I have 500 of them. I will use them when someone gives me trouble. If possible, I'll pick up a break action over-under shotgun. I don't want to buy things unless I have to. The world, literally is my Oyster.

*Blue Oyster Cult-The Reaper on the BGM*

I switched to a M 19 automatic grenade launcher, and let 'em have it.

The drones were herding the zombies to my kill box. I would switch between .50 cal M2, 7.62 mm M249 or the 40 mm M 19 grenade launcher. I would put hem back in the Armoury, when I switched positions. Honestly, I had all the time in the world.

A part of that is that Korean males have basic military training. There is discipline when fighting against threats. But there is only so much unarmed inactive reservists can do.

I am simply racking up kills. If it happens to help the locals, great.

I am not going to use magic or cold weapons, unless absolutely necessary. The drones are simple quadcopters or rotor-craft. I have not unleashed the golems, levitating or otherwise. it'll just freak people out.

*BGM: The Doors-Riders on the Storm*

*Night time 23:00*

The drones are now maintaining a perimeter around me. I'm in a top floor corner office. it's time to go to sleep. For this, I use magic, casting wards and compulsions to deter simple minded people. The more insistent, will be burnt to ashes.

I set up multiple camps, just to make sure.

As I lay down, I hear jets flying overhead.

It is possible to find where military bases are located in each country. It's literally a google search away. But for security reasons, I will not mention any locations.
