Chapter 239: Why Did He Like Her?

Kael was waiting impatiently for the story to be told before Ava got home the next day when he teleported himself away from the call center. He sighed and launched into his retelling of Ianor's story, sticking as true to the original as possible while leaving out the part about both Zarath and Maldine being in love with her. 

Zeldris was doing his best not to think about that because he didn't want to believe it was possible for a demon to love a fairy. He was struggling with his feelings of possessiveness toward Ava already. He didn't need anything weirder put into the mix. 

Demons didn't love period. They mated because they had to in order to keep the species going or for pleasure but love was never part of the equation. There were no committed relationships in the demon realm.
