Chapter 44: Plan
In the medical block at Woodenpool,
The old lady is talking to Orni.
Orni pleads with the old lady, "Ma'am, please."
Suddenly, George appears, saying, "I don't mind training them. It would be too boring just to sit around all day doing nothing anyway."
The old lady says, "You are in no condition to do that, George."
Suddenly, everyone else from the rescue team appears behind. Pedro steps forward, saying, "Count us in."
The old lady gets irritated and says, "Have you all lost your minds? You need medical care."
Pedro replies as usual, "I need booze."
The old lady loudly calls the doctor, saying, "Hammer some senses into them."
The doctor respectfully replies, "Ma'am, this could be helpful in their healing process instead."
The old lady walks out, saying, "Do whatever you folks want."
On the other side,
In that special spot of the jungle at Okabi,
Inaki is running very fast in a circle, and Costa is observing that from a branch of a big tree.
Inaki says in a voice filled with exhaustion, "Are you gonna run me to death? The sun is about to set. At least, let me have a meal."
Costa says in a cold voice, "Just move till you can."
Inaki replies in a thin sound, "You want me to collapse or something?"
Costa says, "Stop running your mouth and move. Don't forget why you are going through this."
Inaki thinks, "That's right, I need to get stronger. Stronger than anyone around."
Inaki moves forward, gathering all the strength he has left.
On the other side,
In the medical block at Woodenpool,
Lenin, Sharia, and Liya arrived. Everyone else has arrived there.
Orni announces, "We will start our training soon. Sir George and all the other members of the rescue squad have agreed to train us despite their health condition. But they are not allowed to exit the medical block, so we will be using the medical block hall room as the training spot."
Orni looks at Lenin, then turns the other way.
John says, "Will they be able to train us the best way like this?"
Orni then replies, "It is better than doing nothing."
Sharia says delightfully, "Now that's some good news."
Liya asks, "But Orni, you are also..."
Orni says, "Don't worry about me. I'll be alright."
Then the gathering is dismissed.
Liya asks Lenin secretly, "Hey, top student, it seems you nailed it again."
Lenin looks upward, saying, "What are you talking about?"
Liya says, "Don't play dumb. I'm certain that all of this was your plan."
Lenin says in a thin voice, "Well, getting a slap from her was definitely not my plan."
Then Lenin starts walking toward the rescue squad.
Lenin says, "Good afternoon, sir. How is your health condition?"
George starts smiling, he says, "Quite worrying about us, kid."
Jenifer says loudly from behind, "Hey, it's him. How are you, kiddo?"
Lenin bows his head, then says, "I am fine, ma'am. Good to see you are doing well."
Jenifer is surprised, she says, "Did you just call me ma'am?"
Lisa says, "He is a well-mannered boy."
