Chapter 38: Eternal sleep
In the medical block, Lenin is lying on a bed next to the bed Orni is in. Sharia, Liya, Gary, John—everyone is surrounding him. Lenin is lying unconscious. Everyone from the rescue team is also nearby. The old lady is having a conversation with George, who is the only one conscious among the rescue team. The old lady is surprised, "Royal army of Okabi!!!"
George confirms, saying, "Yes, ma'am. I'm sure of it." The old lady starts to calculate, "Some imposters playing deities, Ronen, then the Royal army of Okabi. This is about something way deeper than I thought." George asks out of curiosity, "Ma'am, how can we be so sure that they are imposters and not the real deal? I mean, they were insanely strong."
The old lady replies calmly, "He was an imposter. It is because you guys killed him. If he was Julius Nanak, then..."
On the other side, Lenin is opening his eyes gradually. Then, Lenin suddenly wakes up and hugs Sharia, screaming loudly, "Grandpa!"
Sharia punches Lenin's head, saying, "Watch it, pest." Liya says with a smile, "Welcome back, top student." Lenin becomes confused, looking around, asking, "Where...?" Orni replies, "Um... medical block, Woodenpool."
Lenin shouts loudly, "What is the time? How long has it been?" Sharia is irritated, "Calm down, pest. It has been two days." Sharia finishes talking, and the next moment, Lenin snatches an apple from Sharia without properly hearing her. Liya starts saying, "Wait, Lenin, hear me out," but Lenin bites that apple. After that, Lenin vanishes from there and appears in the school. Then Lenin starts running toward his home, his body hurting everywhere but not slowing down. He checks the time on his watch—it's 6:30 am. Then he reaches his house, enters his room via the window, thinking, "Good thing I left the window unlocked." As he enters his room, his mother calls out, "Lenin, breakfast is on the table." Lenin replies loudly, "Coming, mother." He takes a deep breath, relaxing himself, thinking, "Thank God, I made it." Lenin bites the apple again and appears before everyone in the medical block at Woodenpool. The next moment, Sharia grabs Lenin's shirt, snatches the apple, saying, "This is my apple, you pest." Orni comes near Lenin with an apple, saying, "Hey Lenin... um... this one is your apple."
On the other side, in Okabi Royal Palace, the royal doctor comes out after checking Polin completely. Then he says, "Your Majesty, it seems like Lord Polin tried to go all out in his last battle. It caused his life energy to reduce. If he hadn't lost half his power in that war, then these kinds of battles would have been child's play for him. I'm so sorry to inform you that Lord Polin is in eternal sleep."
Hearing this, King Zarius and Inaki are shocked. King Zarius helplessly says, "There must be a way to cure him." Inaki enters the room where Polin is sleeping, taking steps toward Polin and crying without making any sound.
