Once I was done cleaning up Charlotte's wound, I made my way downstairs with the bucket of water and cloth. Looking down at the water, it's all clouded in blood which is a bit disturbing, but I'm glad it looks like Charlotte isn't bleeding anymore.
"Lisa-" I call out to Lisa, but upon walking into the lounge, she's nowhere to be seen.
Has she gone somewhere? She really shouldn't be straining herself. Sure she isn't in a bad state as Charlotte, but I think it's better for her to rest. So, with the bucket in hand, I knock on Lisa's bedroom door, but after waiting for a few moments, no reply was given. Is she asleep?
Gently opening the door, I take a peek inside her room, but after looking over at her bed, there's no sign of her. Well, Lisa did say to just dump the water outside, so I guess I can do that, but I just wanted to let her know how Charlotte's doing...
Moving out the backdoor, towards the meadow, I pour out the bloody water from the bucket as I watch it all soak into the ground. I take a moment to appreciate the view, but sadly the sky seems to be caked in clouds, blocking out the blue sky. In that moment, as I'm looking up, I feel something fall onto my cheek. I go to wipe it, but the moment I do, I feel even more of the same liquid fall from the sky onto my face.
Fearing that I'll get my clothes wet, I rush back inside, wiping away any of the water that had gotten on my face. But in that moment-
"Ah- Shiro." Lisa had returned, entering through the door where the magic crest is. So she was at the other world?
"Hello~" And the person coming from behind her is none other than Luna; Charlotte's aunt.
"Hi."
So that where Lisa went? She went over to find Luna? Looking at Lisa, she does look a lot better, but I still worry.
"How's Charlotte holding up?"
"She's doing okay. I just finished dumping the water." I say as I put the now empty bucket on the floor just by the wall.
"That's good."
"Can I see her?" In contrast to Lisa's soft smile, Luna seems more worried as she asks that.
"Sure. She's just upstairs."
Just like that, we made our way back up to mine and Charlotte's room with me leading the way. But the moment we entered the doorway, Luna stood frozen.
"Auntie?" Charlotte looks a bit confused after looking our way.
"Charlotte!" And in no time at all, Luna rushed forth before dropping onto her knees at the bedside.
Charlotte must've been feeling cold as before we walked in, she had already pulled the blanket over her, covering her chest.
"I'm fine, auntie."
"Are you sure?"
"Mhmm!" Charlotte beams a bright smile at Luna, but Luna herself doesn't seem to be buying it as her face is still filled with concern.
"Can I see?"
"..." With a bit of hesitation, Charlotte ends up moving a portion of the blanket away, revealing her wound to us. But she's not revealing all of it as she's still keeping the area around her breasts covered.
"Ah!" Luna ends up covering her mouth at the sight as I could see a few tears have already began to form. "Charlotte..."
"Yeah... I slipped pretty badly, hehe."
"Mmmm. This isn't the right time to joke, Charlotte."
"Sorry. But really, I'm okay now. I'm in good hands." She says while glancing back over to me which ended up causing Luna to also direct her gaze to me. For some reason, I feel some heat rising up to my face.
Suddenly, Luna stands up before pulling me into an embrace. The hug is a lot more tighter than I'm used to, making me wonder what I'm supposed to do.
"Thank you for taking care of her, Shiro." Luna mutters to words to me before pulling away from the hug. "Really. Thank you."
"It's the least I could do... I feel like what I've done is nothing compared to what Charlotte's done for me."
"Shiro..."
"Well then let me teach you!" Cutting Charlotte off, Luna beams a smile at me.
"Huh?"
"If that's how you really feel, then I'll teach you how to look after her."
"Auntie. What do you mean by that?"
"Quiet. Good girls are to stay in bed when they're sick."
"I can't even get sick though..."
"Shiro." Ignoring Charlotte's words, Luna continues to talk to me.
"Yes?"
"I'll teach you all that I know!" Her words almost light a fire inside me at the excitement of the possibility of being of more use to Charlotte.
"Yes! Thank you very much!"
"I really have no say in this, do I..." Charlotte however looks defeated at the current situation.
"Just give it up, haha." Lisa replies to Charlotte while Luna drags me closer to Charlotte.
"Lisa, we have bandages, right?"
"Yeah. Want me to go grab them?"
"Yes please." I'm guessing that Luna wants to re-bandage Charlotte's body? "Shiro. Firstly, I'll teach you how to apply first-aid."
Wait, am I going to do it instead?
"Y-yes!" I remember failing before so I'm quite eager to learn how to properly do it. If I'm going to learn, I need to learn properly. Maybe if I was more capable, maybe I could've helped Charlotte more before getting to that hospital. I need to do my best...
