After having their dinner, he went to his room, and immediately sat down on his bed in a lotus position. With a serious look on his face, he closed his eyes.
He's actually pretty nervous because he's wondering what kind of spiritual root he's going to get or how many they are. This is a crucial point for his future cultivation. If he only gets a single, Median spiritual root, then he's fucked. He can go kiss his goal of killing all of the gods' goodbye.
He opened his eyes again, and this time, he's in his mindscape. It's still the same old and gritty sewer with a pair of red, giant feline eyes glaring at him. But on the left side in front of its cage was a giant, metallic gate, looking like it's about to break. And the kyuubi would've lied to itself if it said it wasn't curious of what's going to happen next once that gate is broken.
"Human…" the monstrous and gigantic fox growled at him.
Helel sighed, and said, "Again, don't worry, I'm not here for you."
It growled again but said, "Human, what are you?"
Amusement seemed to show on his face as he said, "That's the first time in all these years that you've talked to me like that, kyuubi."
"Answer the question, human," the fox said with a bit of annoyance and anger in its deep, monster-like voice.
He shrugged, and said, "Well, you've already said it; I'm a human."
It shook its building-size head, and said, "No, you're far more powerful than the other humans. You can draw and manipulate natural energy from the world far better than anyone I've seen in my life. I'd even say that you're better at that than Senju Hashirama, and as much as I hate that man, he deserves respect for his power. So, let me repeat my question; what are you?"
He laughed, and replied, "Wow, I've never heard you talk that much," the tailed beast growled, and he chuckled, "Well, I am surprised that the people in this world know how to use Arcane Energy, which is the Natural Energy you're talking about. To answer your question, I am a cultivator, one who seeks immortality and to break the natural law of the world."
The nine-tailed beast laughed out loud, and said, "A cultivator… Interesting. Father used to talk about beings like them existing outside of this world, capable of wiping out an entire planet with a swipe of their fingers. So you're a cultivator? I didn't know your people were this weak."
"Really? The one who made you talked about my 'kind'? That is surely fascinating. He must've met a very powerful one back then, maybe someone in the Deity Realm. I'm surprised he even managed to survive that, considering that he made you."
Helel isn't really surprised by that since cultivators, while rare in a single planet, are common in the universe. At least that's his theory, considering that cultivating isn't even that hard. As long as someone can properly draw Arcane Energy into them, then they're going to do just fine. No one needs a fancy cultivation technique or whatnot to actually succeed in cultivating.
Many clans and sects back in his old world had "special" cultivation techniques but he didn't really see the appeal in them because they only give minimal strength boost with risks that can threaten a cultivator's life. Like the Cold Phoenix Cultivation Technique, which can only be used by a woman and that woman must get rid of all of her emotions. They cannot have children, have sex, or even kiss someone. If they do, they die. So they cover their mouths a lot, in case someone tries to kiss them.
The only thing they get in return is the ability to transform into an Ice Phoenix, which is pretty fucking stupid if you ask him. As long as a cultivator knows how to use a simple fire spell, then those women cosplaying as phoenixes are pretty much fucked.
It's a lot more complicated than that but that's basically the gist of it.
If he remembered correctly, their Sect name was Snow Mountain Sect, and their base was located on a big snowy mountain. After they tried to kidnap some of the female children that were talented at cultivation in his city, Eden, he decided to go knock on their doorsteps and rip their sect master's head off. That's what he literally did. Then he blew up the entire mountain from the face of the world but not before he collected all of their treasures, artifacts, and of course, the children.
Since they were usually calm and cold, it was a pretty funny sight when they were begging for their lives.
Anyway, he's gotten off topic.
He is certainly curious how the Kyuubi's creator met that cultivator but he's not going to pry because the fox always keeps its lips tight whenever he tried asking it some questions years ago.
"Father was the strongest person in the entire world. The only reason he died was because of his own mortality, and you say you can become an immortal by just absorbing the natural energy of the world? I can hardly believe that, human," the Kyuubi said with a deep and growling-like voice.
He shrugged, and replied, "That's basically just it. Well, at the start, you don't gain anything except for an increase in strength and some Arcane Energy. But at higher levels, you'll gain more and more life force, making you live a lot longer than the average human. There are stages where you're basically immortal but those are hard to reach. One must be hundreds of years old to actually see a glimpse of those realms." Not him though. He was more than 200 years old when he entered the Deity Realm
At the moment, his current life force is around an average person's but once he enters the Demigod Realm, his life force should reach 1000 years. A Transcendent Realm cultivator has 10,000 years, and a Divine Cultivator, around 50,000 years. Nobody really knows how long a Deity Realm cultivator can live since they're killed by other cultivators before they can live the rest of their lives.
But it's theorized that they can live around 100,000 to 200,000 years since the oldest Deity Realm Cultivator in his past world's history was more than 150,000 years old. It's really weird though since the humans back in that world have existed for more than a million years, and even though many of its history has been forgotten in the annals of history, it still doesn't change the fact that they should've been better, technologically wise.
Back when he was just a normal human on Earth, everything was so futuristic and cool, where there was basically no danger except for other humans. But in the cultivation world, it seems to be stuck in the medieval age, where every day a person has to fight diseases and animals. And, he's not getting tired of saying this, they basically had no proper fucking hygiene!
The modern humans back on Earth have existed for less than 300,000 years, and they were still able to make so many things that improved the lives of all other humans. It just doesn't make any sense that the cultivation world lacks all of this!
The Kyuubi grunted, and said, "Since you seem to be here to break this gate already, I'm going to ask my last question; what are you going to do with me?" It's a very important question for the beast, considering that this host of his is far more different than his other hosts, and even though he is power hungry, this human child doesn't ask for his power.
He shrugged nonchalantly, and replied, "Well, my first thought was just to have you as my pet," the tailed beast growled at him in anger, "But I'll probably just release you from your cage and dump you somewhere in the world. I don't really care what happens next, as long as I don't have a voice in my head other than that shitty goddess." He glanced at Nyx, who currently has her eyes closed, trying her best to ignore him.
It huffed, and the nine-tailed beast seemed to turn the corner of his mouth upwards, as he said, "I rather like your idea, huma—no, kit. I'll lend you my power from time to time if you need it but for now, go do what you're going to do."
The giant fox lay inside its cage, and closed its eyes. Even though it's always distrusted humans, it's not because it simply hates them, it's because it can sense their emotions. Most of the time, it's fear, and sometimes, greed. That's the two main things humans have towards it but this little human child holds none of those two whenever they meet.
Its new host doesn't care about its power, nor does it have any malicious intent towards him. It's a bit insulted but the nine-tailed fox knows that the child deems it far too weak to be considered a power source, considering he's only targeting the goddess sealed along with it.
As for how he and the goddess got acquainted, it didn't need to know. The only thing it needs to know is that someday in the future, it'll be free to roam the world once again. Maybe if it feels like it, it'll also release its siblings.
He walked towards the giant gate, and as he stopped to stare at it, the water below him started to vibrate. Then, the energy inside his body burst out, and the water was pushed away by the force created by the aura.
The Kyuubi paid it no mind since it has already seen Ren do this many times before, and it knew that once that gate is broken, the child would grow even more stronger. It doesn't know how that happens and quite frankly, it's not that curious about it.
Helel roared as all of his energy slammed against the gate, and as light shined through the cracks, his hopes went up. Today would be the day he will enter the Demigod Realm again, and only then could he feel truly safe against the strong people of this world.
He could feel his energy losing but he prevailed and continued slamming it against it.
"HAAAAAAAHH!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, and then… as the energy hit it over and over again, the metallic gate shattered into pieces.
As he absorbed the energy back into his body, the world around him slowly turned into something else. The ground below him became grass and dirt, and everything around him changed from a sewer to a beautiful lake. The only island in the lake was the one he was standing on, and on the corner of it was another World Gate but the one that took his attention the most were the 5 orbs of energy floating in the center.
They were spiritual roots.
There are five shapes spiritual roots take so that a cultivator can identify which grade they belong in. Low is a small pebble, Median is a larger pebble, High is a disk-shaped rock, Excellent is a gemstone, and then, the Empyrean is an orb. The color of a spiritual root determines the element it contains.
His smile reached each of his ears as he started at the five orbs. White Blue, Dark Blue, Red, Golden Brown, and Black White. The five elements; Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning. And all of them are stronger than their average form.
And on the ground, for some reason, was a piece of paper.
He picked it up, and his smile became even wider as he read what's written on it.
"It seems like Truth really wants the gods dead," he chuckled.
Nyx, who's watching from her cage in the sky, widens her eyes in fear.
I just have to say this; at the moment, Helel isn't overpowered nor can he defeat every kage in the world. In fact, in my opinion, he's still pretty weak, considering the fact that Sage Mode Naruto was able to lift thousands of tons. And even though Itachi may seem weak in my fic, he's not. It's just that Helel is an old monster, who has lived through wars, watched kingdoms and empires fall under his foot.
He has a lot of experience under his belt, that's why killing that many shinobi may have seemed easy but if Itachi had done that, the Uchiha Prodigy could've been severely injured or worse, dead.
"But Sasuke managed to beat 1000 people on his own at early shippuden!" Yes, he did, but they weren't shinobis, only mere thugs that are stronger than the average person. Even Zabuza was able to kill hundreds of thugs while at the brink of death.
There's a huge difference between Ninjas and Thugs, even a genin might be able to kill dozens of em.
Anyway, just wanted to clear some things up since it might cause confusion in the future. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, stay well, and as always, thank you for reading!
